    Oh man I was afraid of this!

    Motorsports coverage includes news, highlights, rankings and more spanning NASCAR, Formula 1, NHRA, ARCA, MotoGP, IndyCar and more auto racing circuits.

    I really like Patrick I feel bad for him but man he made his bed. I myself could never work for a guy like Cheever. Pat had offers to stay in CHAMP CAR but left for the IRL. It would have been one thing if he left for a team like AGR or something but I had a feeling he would have problems with Cheever's team. I can not think of anyone and I don't want to drop names that has ever had a nice working relationship with this clown. Plus what is the deal with Cheever writing him a letter? Can he not man up and talk with him face to face? Really bizzare but then again the letter writing matches the M.O of Cheever. Hope this works out but I would bet that PC is gone shortly after the I500.

    Some tidbits from the story;

    Among Cheever’s dissatisfactions with Carpentier, who’s obtained three top-10 finishes in the first three ‘05 races - a streak ended this weekend with his 13th spot at Motegi - are a supposed lack of input from the Canadian to improve the team. The veteran owner was also displeased with Carpentier’s off-season refusal to move from his Las Vegas home to Indianapolis to be close to RBCR’s factory.
    I could see Cheever's side on this but a little background work could had told him that if thats what he wanted then PC is not his guy. PC is not going to give you input on team direction. He will jump in your car run the wheels off and go home at the end of the day. As much as he wants to be viewed as a lead driver he is not wired to be one.

    According to Carpentier, Cheever is under heavy pressure to perform in order to retain its Red Bull sponsorship, whose current contract expires by the end of this season.
    Well from what I know that RedBull deal is as good as gone next year.
