so at this point do we have any way at all of getting a usable College Hoops 2k7 roster to use or are they all going to be corrupted?

        Thanks a lot TJ.

I emailed my cousin who works at Microsoft and bitched him out...so hopefully he says something meaningful back to me soon...

I can't believe this. Nearly 10 years after I bought a Dex Drive for my original Playstation to transfer saves, I can no longer do it with the latest generation of consoles. We would've thought that technology would take a step backwards...
Well you can, but it would mean using a different console. Not trying to persuade anyone here, just stating the sad idiotic facts.

How does the save system on the PS3 work? I like my 360 and even have MS stock (even a Zune), but since the systems seem similiar i am curious about the PS3 save system. I like college sports games and i might have to go that route this year now.

The save system is alot easier. Just save to a flash drive and transfer to the CPU and the same the other way.

Just any flash drive, or do you have to buy a special one?

Any USB flash drive or any SD/MiniSD, Pro, or CF flash cards will work. Chances are you have a flash drive and if not you can get a 1GB for about $15. Thats $20 less than the 360 memory cards which are only 64MB of storage. Also no need to ever purchase or deal with any Datel products or software ever again. Now if Sony could just get some games to play, do an overhaul to the online features, and add more features to the front-end software.

OK... This really sucks. I woke up this morning to over 100 e-mails asking why my roster files were now corrupt after the latest M$ update.

As I told TJ earlier this afternoon my old 360 console was identified and is now on the banned list. (Console ID #0B04F2F395) From what I have heard, my rosters appeared at GameSaves.com courtesy of a friendly Joe, who decided to share my roster file, and they were identified by Micro$oft in their new Console Revocation Policy. It seems that Micro$oft's intent was to eliminate shared game saves that were boosting Achievement points. But it seems that roster editors are also being punished. At least DKrause and myself.

My gripe is that all of my game saves for NCAA '07, College Hoops 2k7 and 2K6 are now corrupt. I created all of the game saves on my old console and now they do not work on my new XBox 360.

I have some contacts and I'm hoping that I can have my "old" console removed from the banned list but that will only be possible if the bans are dynamic. Meaning if the bans were not hard coded into the last update.

Finally, is there any way to save my old corrupt files on my HDD? Or am I totally screwed.

Downloaded DKrause rosters for College Hoops last night because the file on my 360 was corrupt. I imported them with the Xchange 360, put them on my HDD and popped in CH2K7 and they loaded up with no problem.

I mean, is there a way save the roster files that are on my 360 Hard Drive? All of my roster files say they are corrupt. My franchises are corrupt. I've lost everything.

Oh, damn. No not as of now, and in a case like this where MS did it themselves, I'd say those particular saves on the hard drive will probably never be retrieved. Unless MS has a way of reversing it, but the chances of that happening are very slim to none. Its sad because you guys were doing this to help everyone out, and just because some of your saves got posted on one certain site, MS took it as you doing something wrong and destroyed your saves. VERY reckless and complete BS on their part. Their plan doesn't seem to be thought out very well, I'm sure they could have come up with a better solution then just corrupting everything, and tagging your console so all you future saves put online will be corrupted.

What really sucks about all of this is that nowhere do I see it mentioned in their list of "upgrades" about filesharing protection.
