I definitely wouldn't look forward to how punishing NES gaming was.

I think we can now save anywhere? Is that true.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Funny you guys say that... I recently built a Retropie emulator, and watching my 9 year old play donkey Kong for the first time was quite interesting! The commentary was priceless. He was getting frustrated by thinks like dropping down the edge of a tier, saying things like "ahhhh come on, that's a couple feet over his head!" LOL

Made me realize truly how frustrating those games were. We should all be a master of visual and audio patterns.

You buy a particular kit for that, or just do it piecemeal? What controller(s) are you using?

Piecemeal. I did a NES cartridge as the case (picart). I made it Bluetooth since I already had both the 8bitdo NES30 and NES30 Pro already.

I would mind to have one of those. How much would it cost for you to build me one?

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that in the last week, lol. I'm not sure if I'd be violating the ToS by discussing it tho.

One thing I will tell you though, is that the components costs about $45 in all.

This is the main reason that I'd like one of these, so I can show my kids and play with them. Especially my 5yo son who gets a little overwhelmed at all the buttons and sticks on my PS4 controllers. Two buttons and a d-pad should be simple enough to pick up.

That's the reason that I grabbed one was so that my son could play it. Although, he's only 1 right now, so he has a little ways to go before he's ready to play video games.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

So basically, you'll put it through the paces in the meantime, to assure it stays in good working condition when he's of age? [emoji12]

Of course! What kind of Daddy would I be if I didn't test it out first to ensure that it works properly?

Is this thing gonna be available again soon? I honestly can't understand why Nintendo does this with their stock. How does this benefit Nintendo?
