I really just wanna get one of these but I'm not paying over retail. This is just stupid these aren't readily available.

Walked into walmart a couple days ago and they had four Switches. Never seen one of these there.

Here in San Antonio I can't find one anywhere, wish I had your luck. I'm close to giving up at this point, it's dumb that this shortage is still dragging on months later.

Actually saw 2 on the shelf at Walmart this morning. I was able to pick one up for a friend who's been trying to find one since they were released.

It seems like they are finally producing more or maybe demand has lowered because that was the first one I've ever seen in stores.

Buddy found one in a GameStop in Maryland. Lucky find for him. He walked in and they had one still in shipping package. So they scanned it into their system and then immediately sold it to him.

I was in Gamestop the other day and they actually informed me, granted it's coming from a Gamestop employee so who knows how much truth to it there is, but they said that Nintendo had stopped production on it as it was just a limited release and they would only become harder to find as time went on. Again, take it for what it is considering the source but at the same time knowing Nintendo nothing would surprise me either.

Sounds about right. When I was working at an electronics retailer the report was they were only to be sold in November.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Damn, smh. Lol. So much for waiting it out and hoping for an increase in production. This was always how it was gonna end up tho. Nintendo viewed this product as a collector's piece right from the get go. Now everyone is officially at the mercy of scalpers. Oh well.

So the early reports of it being stopped were correct then, they just still had some final batches in the pipeline they hoped to sell first.

I bought a second one off Amazon 3rd party for $90. If I actually get it I'll just throw it in my closet for a few years, maybe it will become a collector's item.

Ultimately this is probably why. They'd prefer you buy these games for $4.99 each on their latest console.
