Re: What is the difference between HDTV and EDTV

Naw birddog. I don't want to confuse you man. You can have all of those channels except the movie channels like cinemax hbo showtime starz. Just like directv you have to either order the movie deals as part of the package, or you can order the package called va va vooom and get all of that, but that one is 79.90. They do have like 10 Voom HD movie channels and more that also shows specific HD movies like "Monsters" which shows all horror films in HD.

They also have an NFL channel that is standard, and standard NFL HD games of the week!! for you football junkies.

You can either pay 499 to buy the equipment or 9.50 to rent it. It is 9.50 per box to rent and an extra 5 bucks to add the programming to the extra tv, just like all of the others. The greatest thing is there is no contract, so you really wouldn't lose out either way.

You don't pay for install or delivery or anything, and don't pay your first bill until 30 days after they hook you up.

You get about 21 HD channels and about 70 SD channels with the 39.90 pack, and
you get about 32 HD channels, and about 70 SD channels with the 79.90.

They are in negotiations now adding more channels with espn being #1 priority since it is requested the most and others they aren't talking about. They promised about 88 sd channels and 39 HD channels so far so they will come.

If you want to downgrade your directv package and get the Voom standard package, which many are doing, then you'll have an entire array of programming to choose from for about what you are probably paying now.

You get free locals too, I think they have to be digital. Here I believe between channels 2-13 and pbs
I get all except channel 9 OTA and also get PBS OTA.

So if you rent you pay nothing up front. Free install, and choose a package from 39.90 or 79.90

If you choose to buy you pay 499 for the equip ( I believe they give you a certain amount of free programming) and you are set.

If you rent you pay 9.50 for rental fees per box, and 5.00 for any extra box per month. Not a bad deal either way.

Renting is the best way to me right now. You can't lose. If you don't like it (you most likely will) you can call them and tell them to come pick their stuff up. If you like it you are okay.

No contracts, low risk, extra HDcan't lose

What is the problem you're having with your tv? If it's 1080 then it does support high definition. It would probably upconvert a 720 signal to 1080. Which service are you looking at getting?
