    Music-Social issues

    Hey.

First of all, happy birthday to me

Second of all, I need some help on a research paper. It needs to be on a social issue, and I need to use as a source song lyrics really touching on that social issue, whether it be AIDS, abortion, rape, drug abuse, anything.

If its no big deal, I'd appreciate some suggestions of an issue along with the song lyrics and artist. Thanks very much peepz.

What social issue are you thinking about researching?

Toad the Wet Sprocket's "Hold Her Down" deals with the rape of lead singer Glen Phillips' wife and Glen's anger and resentment towards those who did it.

I'm open to anything that won't be a pain to get decent information on and prefereably something that I could get good statisistics on but that's not a must.

I'm not a big 2Pac fan, but "Brenda's Got A Baby" comes to mind.

You can only use song lyrics right?

Well just as one type of source. I need more but these seemed the hardest to find.
