The nba should of stuck to 3 out 5 in the first round.

Re: NBA Playoffs vs. NHL Playoffs
Last weekend's ratings
NBA: Lakers vs. Suns - 5.1 rating
NHL: Flyers vs. Sabres (main game although there was another regional game at the same time) - 1.3 rating
The NBA didn't do as well the previous week when it was the Cavs vs. Wizard.
If the NBA wants decent ratings for the NBA Finals, they need the Lakers to be in it.Comment

Re: NBA Playoffs vs. NHL Playoffs
The NBA and NHL must have an agreement to not play final games on the same night. I don't remember the last time games have been played on the same day.
I'm in sports heaven.
NBA Finals Schedule:
Game 1: June 8th
Game 2: June 11th
Game 3: June 13th
Game 4: June 15th
Game 5: June 18th
Game 6: June 20th
Game 7: June 22th
Stanley Cup Finals Schedule:
Game 1: June 5th
Game 2: June 7th
Game 3: June 10th
Game 4: June 12th
Game 5: June 14th
Game 6: June 17th
Game 7: June 19th
Now this is the moment you've all been waiting for..... it's prediction time!
I have to cheer for the team that has Brass Bonanza as its former theme song. Also having Ric Flair "WOOOOO" after each Canes goal = good karma
Hurricanes in 7 games
Marc Cuban is the best owner in all of sports. He personally answered an e-mail of mine when he took over the Mavs. There's no stopping the Dirk Express. Why does Avery Johnson still sound like he's 12 years old?

Re: NBA Playoffs vs. NHL Playoffs
Mea culpa. This has been the most entertaining NBA playoffs I've seen in at least a decade, and somewhat unpredictable to boot. I have no complaints with the level of play in the NHL playoffs either. Good times all around for the sports fan.Originally posted by DrJones*makes note to bump this thread when inevitable Pistons-Spurs finals is set*

Re: NBA Playoffs vs. NHL Playoffs
Mavs in 6
Wow... I have no idea who is in the Stanley Cup... I guess I could just look it up, but then my prediction is pointless. Thing is, I probably couldn't name a single dude on either team.
This is why the NBA and NBA Playoffs is BETTER!SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Ofcourse that's in your opinion. THe NBA Playoffs have been great this year but still doesn't beat the NHL.Originally posted by xcelldarim31Mavs in 6

Re: NBA Playoffs vs. NHL Playoffs
Yeah, but I'm pretty familiar with players and teams going into the World Cup this Summer... I just can't imagine how the NHL can't squeak out some kind of advertising to get more people involved, like the NBA has done with their teams.Originally posted by cjonesfan921Ofcourse that's in your opinion. And I think when we all take a look at the NBA vs. NHL Finals TV Ratings comparisons, the NBA will win easily. Thats the one good prediction I can make.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: NBA Playoffs vs. NHL Playoffs
But don't mix that up with me thinking the NBA is a better sport because its more popular... if that was the case, I wouldn't be listening to UNDERGROUND Rap instead of Mainstream CRap.
What I'm talking about is the league's push to get the product out there. NHL's PR is doing a horrendous job.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment
