    Question:

Have you ever read the comics, in relation to the Riddler? If you're just going off cartoons/Carey's version, I can see why...but there's a lot to the Riddler Nolan and Co. can dive into if they stick with the Graphic Novels.

And Selina would work...but they need a full movie to dedicate to her, honestly. If they try and throw her in...it'd end up like Spidey3 with Venom. One of the biggest characters in the Batman universe turned into an afterthought.

In my personal opinion I find the Joker and Two Face characters to be the better foil for Batman, I've always felt that way. I remember on the original Batman DVD, on one of the commentary tracks one of the creators talked about the original characters and how the Joker was the best villian because he was a combination of Two Face and The Riddler. The Joker is my favorite of all-time and Two Face is just a mean SOB so out of the three The Riddler is a distant third in my mind.

I just think Nolan and the crew could really dig deep with Two Face (now that it appears the Joker storyline will end in TDK - as it should) and get really creepy as opposed to going the route of the Riddler. Just my opinion, of course.

Two Face and Catwoman in the next movie sounds awesome though.

Oh, I definitely agree that Joker and Two-Face are far ahead of The Riddler in terms of Batman Villians, and I'd also wholeheartedly agree that Catwoman is a MUCH bigger character than the Riddler...however, I'd say that putting Catwoman AND Two-Face in the same movie would be stretching the movie too thin (see my Spidey3 reference above).

The Selina Kyle story, much like Venom in Spiderman, is one of the bigger, over-laying arches in the entire Batman universe. While Catwoman is not to Batman as Venom is to Spiderman, having her play second-fiddle to Two Face wouldn't do her justice, in my opinion.

If there was a fourth movie, however (a guy can dream, right?) there could be a very good way to work her in. End of the third have Bruce meet Selina, or even have Batman question a mob-guy and have him ask "Who was he?" The guy could then respond with something about how it wasn't a he but a she. Then the fourth movie could focus on Catwoman and, maybe, the Maroni family, with Two Face making the smaller appearences throughout.

I fele like that kind of fourth movie, though, would either be really good, or really bad.

And the main reason I brought up the Riddler was because Nolan likes the more "realistic" villains, so I'm not expecting Mr. Freeze, Posion Ivy (especially since Catwoman HAS to come before her if they want a female villian) Clayface, Killer Croc, etc. etc. The Riddler seems to fit what Nolan likes for his villains.

For a good example of both the Riddler and Catwoman's big roles in the Batman universe, I'd recommend the Hush series of graphic novels.

I think eventually if they do enough movies you'll proabaly see the Riddler and maybe Black Mask. Black Mask isn't a sexy enough name for the main villian although I think he would fit in nicely with the way the current franchise is going. He more than likely would be a good secondary villian in a movie that is used by the main villian. If they ever had the Penguin in one of these movies, the two of them could be mob rivals that Batman gets caught in the middle of.

There will be a new TDK trailer attached to 10,000 BC which focuses on Bruce Wayne and his relationship with Harvey Dent.

              Not surprising.

Sad to say, but with Heath's passing, they need to get people to connect with Dent so that the fans will be excited about a Two-Face movie.

I definitely agree, but I think in the overview of the trilogy the plan was to have The Joker be a big force in the second installment, giving him a smaller role in the third while building up a relationship/connection between Bruce & Dent in the second film so that in the final movie the transition from Dent to Two-Face is that much greater. Its something Raimi and Spiderman missed when they didn't include Brock in the first two films so that the competition between Parker and Brock and Brock's jealousy toward Park was never adequately developed.

The whole last spider man movies was such a cluster****. Nolan actually has some pride in his movies to prevent that from happening.
