It is a 42" Mitsubishi HDTV that I got in 2003, it has 1080i resolution, so how much should I even ask for it? I don't want to ask too much and get no interest but I don't wanna screw myself either. I was thinking $800 was a good starting point.

Better Place to Sell a 42" HDTV, Ebay or Craig's List?
We are closing on our old house on 11/9 and my wife has agreed to let me get a new TV, but I need to sell our current one to have some money towards it. Where am I better off selling it, Ebay, Craigslist, or the local paper?

If you get $800, it'll be a miracle. Is it a DLP? I wouldn't do Ebay though. -

Just a CRT projection 42"? You'll get 300-400 tops IMO. I would still try Craig's List though, since it's free to list it.
Just not much demand for it, especially when you can go to Best Buy an get a 42" Sammy DLP for 1100 bucks now.
If you do list it, make sure you have it as "or best offer". I listed my 34" Sony once just to gauge what it was going for, best offer I got was $450, and at the time it was $1500 new. Your mileage may vary though. Good luck!Comment
