Al Gore may seem like a bumbling idiot to many of you but seriously check out 'An Inconvenient Truth.' If that movie doesn't make you at least think, then you are beyond stubborn.

algore is a bumbling idiot. how much pollution does he add to the atmosphere flying around promoting the myth that humans can control global warming.

I'm hating this. I love snow and freezing weather. Christmas sucked this year without it. I'm quite depressed at what's going on.

So you've done years of research and have proof that humans can't help control global warming? I'd love to see all your data.

i never said that it is human's fault or not. it seems that global warming is happening wether we caused it or not. im not saying we should drop everything and panic but its something we need to keep an eye on, i think almost the entire scientific world agrees that it is definately happening.

algore needs to show data that can accurately predict the weather for next week, before he is arrogant enough to show data stating that we can control global warming. he is promoting a political agenda and a tfer of wealth away from the usa when he promotes global warming and what it would require the usa to agree to. it is total bs.

Well I agree about keeping an eye on it, but the warming and cooling cycle has always gone on since way before man, and it's somewhat arrogant to think we cause it and/or can cure it in some way. And right or wrong (I believe he's wrong on this issue) Al Gore should really practice what he preaches. I remember once he gave a speech on Capitol Hill about how humans contribute to global warming with our SUVs, airplanes, etc and then after he was done, instead of him and his posse walking 5 blocks to go back to his office, they instead got into 5 separate Lincoln Towncars and SUVs and drove back. LOL!

Pretty much correct. However I think the term global warming has become synonymous though with the Al Gore theory that humans and cows are going to ruin the planet with our cars, planes, hairspray and flatulence, heh. And that is a different issue than just observing that the planet temperatures has been on an upswing for awhile and at some point will probably reverse independent of humans and our flatulent cows.

I know one thing here in Virginia........enjoy the warm weather all you want, but some cold weather is nice because it really cuts down on the summer bugs like mosquitoes.

I'm guessing we should rule out solar flares and volcanoes as well if we want to look at all alternative causes of weather. We just had a pretty hefty solar storm pass by not long ago.

Then again it's easier to say cow dung is evil.

What political agenda is he promoting? Besides it wouldn't take much for the US to improve. The majority of Europe drive cars that get twice the mileage American cars get.

Being able to predict the weather and being able to show historical trends are completely different things. And Al Gore is not doing the science. He is simply spreading what scientists have found. I realize Al Gore may be hypocritical but you shouldn't ignore the scientific evidence he presents just because you think he's a no good stupid liberal democrat. Think for yourself, don't let the Republican party or popular culture tell you not to listen to Al Gore because he is just acting as a presenter for all the inarticulate scientists who don't have the resources to present this information broadly.

They do? From what I've read, that's not the case. They drive a lot of the same cars we drive. Only thing I've seen from talking to people across the World on different car sites is that some European cars don't have the same horsepower as cars that we drive in America.

EDIT - One HUGE difference in Europe is that their public transportation sector is 100x better than it is here. Many Europeans opt for public transportation over driving their own car. At least that's what I've been told by a few people who I know have been to areas such as London.

Also - Please leave politics out of this. OS has shown in the past it can't handle political conversation.
