Maybe some of the OS techie guru's can help me out with a problem that just started recently after switching my internet service from Comcast Cable to Verizon Online.
In the past using Comcast I had no problems downloading Torrents and Starting them on my Mac via a Bit Torrent program called Tomato and Opera's Web Browser. After recently switching to Verizon Online (Dry DSL) I can download a Torrent file but it no longer starts in either Opera or the Mac's Bit Torrent program. It basically just sits there and never starts even with a 3 to 1 seeder ratio.
The setup Verizon Online gave me was a Wireless Router. My PC and Mac are both wired to the router and i've tried starting torrents on my Windows PC and no luck either. I thought maybe the WIreless portion of the router was interfering with the download so I turned it off. I then tried turning off the firewall in the router and that didn't work.
Is there something simple i'm overlooking?
