I have about 300 LPs sitting in my basement. A couple of weeks ago I was browsing www.techdeals.net and found they have turntables specifically designed convert LPs to CDs or MP3s, sold with the software.

I've converted about 30 albums so far into both a CD and MP3 files. The included software (Pyro Cakewalk) is very good, just lacking in instructions. But with a little trial and error I have the process down now. The sound quality of both the CDs and MP3s are excellent. What's also nice is during the process I'm getting to listen to my old records while surfing the net.
