Re: G.I. Joe movie
This was the way I felt about it. I stand by my criticism of Channing Tatum though. Dude cannot act worth a crap. This wasn't too bad, I saw much worse in 2009. I had some real stinkers come my way in 09........there were a few things I would have done differently. All my bitching about Marlon Wayans was for nothing as the dude was normal in this. I agree that they did go for an over the top aspect to the story.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
NHL: Calgary Flames

Re: G.I. Joe movie
True. He should NOT have been one of the lead actors. This has to be the results of movie politics. It's our fault as the viewers for not recognizing that this was a B movie.....Dennis Quaid.....Come now, we all know this man is not making box office hits."I'm the best there is!"Comment

Re: G.I. Joe movie
THANK YOU, i wasn't sure if i was the only one who felt like this. The guy brought down the whole entire movie. The overall cast was pretty good but he surely brought down the whole movie with his flat stale performance. For someone who could dance, he certainly couldn't actComment

Re: G.I. Joe movie
When I saw he got the lead in GI Joe, I immediately thought about the preview for that dance movie he was in. He sounded very monotone and without personality in that particular preview. Even though I hadn't seen him in anything besides that preview until GI Joe, I was dreading him heading into it. He didn't disappoint. His acting skills are weak. I think I mentioned it in an earlier post in the thread. As much as I am a Star Wars junky, Hayden Christiansen isn't all that great an actor, but I'd much rather have him over Tatum if I was forced to choose between the two...with a gun to my head.THANK YOU, i wasn't sure if i was the only one who felt like this. Re: G.I. Joe movie
Forget Tatum, Cobra Commander absolutley ruined it for me. One of my favorite villians growing up was completely destroyed. Pitiful.Comment

Re: G.I. Joe movie
LOL they totally destroyed him, and this movie in the process. No Lady Jaye, was this guy with the accent supposed to be road block?
How about completely ignoring the real story behind Destro's mask?Comment

Re: G.I. Joe movie
I watched G.I. Joe back as a young man but never really got into it, whats the true story behind Destro's mask and why do you feel as if Cobra Commander wasn't given the correct justice? Was he that much of a foe in the cartoon? Cause i definitely remember watching Transformers as a kid and Megatron wasn't given justice in any two of the films.Comment

Re: G.I. Joe movie
It was a bad movie but I can't believe people take the "story" in a ****ty cartoon so seriously. The same thing happened with Transformers.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
