The Most Important Man in Sports

A great story over on espn.com about the famous sports surgeon Dr. James Andrews. Lengthy read, but it is a very interesting article.

I wasn't really sure where to put this because it relates to all sports.

Yes, I read the article yesterday. This is the kind of story that ESPN need to do much, much more often. It reminded me of the quality sport journalism pieces that S.I. use to run during the 80's.

Sadly this kind of story doesn't draw hits, sell issues, or garner big ratings. We(collectively) get tabloid pieces, because we respond to those kinds of stories.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Yep, I read this today while at work. Interesting and informative IMO.

I read the article last night on ESPN.com.

Very impressive guy. Definitely would be my #1 choice, if I were a pro-athlete.
