Re: Verizon vs Cricket?
I owned a Cricket when i was a teenager and before I had any credit. I have had Verizon for about the past 5 years. Cricket phones are NOTORIOUS for dropping calls, i would drop a call in mid conversation at least once a day. Ive only had a dropped call on Verizon about 3x over the years ive had their service.
Cricket is a good service if you are just trying to cut your bills down and do not travel outside of metro areas alot, i find the service to be spotty when you get about 50 miles outside of a big city.PSN: BigHermComment

Its one of those Phone companies who dont require a credit check, they'll give anyone a phone. I believe the person signing up for the plan has to be 18. Unlimited minutes, text messaging, and all that. Its really popular among people 13-25 and those who have bad credit. Many parents buy their kids a Cricket plan as a first plan because of the unlimited minutes and not having to worry about paying rediculous charges for going over the alotted minutes their plan called for.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Verizon vs Cricket?
I had a Cricket when I was 16, and like one poster said it drops calls a lot. It's a good phone if you want to cut cost, and don't feel like going through a credit check, but Verizon beats Cricket down big time IMO.President of the Devils Den

Re: Verizon vs Cricket?
They have gotten Better atleast here in PGH. My Sister had it up until about 2 Months ago and everytime I talked to her it was fine.. When we would discuss services and what was good/bad. Only negative she said was already said earlier, Once you get around 50 Miles outside City your service suffers greatly. But they seem to have fixed thier dropped call issues from the past.Comment
