Seriously wish Deadman Wonderland had more episodes. Enjoyed the hell out of it these last 12 weeks.

Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom was absolutely great.

Steins is on my to-watch list.

Also starting to watch Persona 4 now that I'm a good ways into the game and don't have to worry about spoiling much from the beginning. It's following basically the exact plotline of the game.

I tried, but could not get into Deadman Wonderland at all. I made it to episode 10 before just giving up. 2 episodes to go, and I still didn't like ANY character on the show, the main character was a wimp, the others were all insane, and the fights were cliched/anti-climatic beyond belief.

Still very new to anime, my watched list is as follows:

Death Note- Amazing, highly recommended, and my favorite so far.

Gungrave- Dialogue is annoying at times, but otherwise it's on the verge of great. Recommend you skip episode 1 (sounds crazy, right?) if you plan to start this.

Claymore- Decent, main character was cool, the little boy was annoying. The show felt a bit rushed towards the end.

Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom- Awesome, second favorite so far, competing neck-and-neck with Death Note.

Deadman Wonderland- Refer to the beginning of post.

High School of the Dead- Still watching, but awesome so far. On episode 4. Really liking the ending music. The characters are decent, the ones I'm supposed to hate are the ones that I hate, and the story is legit. Only drawback (but a huge one) is the show is perverse.

Yeah, there's a good reason for that - the creators of this series also do hentai manga. So.....yeah.

Death Note is the only other one on that list I've seen, and I really enjoyed it.

Well then, that explains that lol. And I would highly recommend you watch Phantom.

                  Re: Anime/Manga Discussion Thread

here we go. I got a long list XD

Setting aside Naruto, Bleach, and Dragon Ball Z... (can't go wrong with DBZ)

High School of the Dead is awesome (too bad it's in hiatus), Death Note, Sword Art Online (not a big fan of it but watched a season), Beelzebub, Black Butler, Vampire Knight, (one of my friends forced me to watch it) Fate/stay Night, Fate/zero, Cowboy Bepop, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Gundam Seed (not destiny), Eureka 7, Slam Dunk, and at last Kuroko's Basketball. (Gotta love basketball mangas )

I'm still trying to watch Samarai Chaploo but Adventure Time and catching up to 2012 flicks has been getting in my way.

Reading the Naruto manga and the last couple of Chapters are freaking intense.

Thinking that the Kages will be back soon as well.

Started watching the anime steins gate and I have to say the story to this show is pretty unique. I guess there was a old internet hoax in 2000 about a time traveler posting on a few message board about how he came to change the future by the name of John Titor. The whole anime focus on the ideas of John Tutor and a few of his ideas.

I'm not that big on manga, well at least action mangas. The only manga that I have ever read is naruto, and I'm about 10 chapters behind at this point, (going to catch up this week). I think the main reason is that I just can't get into reading "fwoosh, swish, splat". I like to actually see the action (everything, really) instead of reading it. That said, I wouldn't mind reading something with a great story like death note, but then I might as well go to the library lol.

No, he's saying read the manga because the anime ended before the manga actually did so the ending the anime had is not necessarily what the manga will have because...you know...it's not over yet.

And if anyone wants a site where they can download individual chapters (or entire volumes) in a zip format PM me.

Edit: It even includes anime also.

Yeah, I know, was just saying how manga in general is not really my thing, at least not action manga (besides naruto) because the pages with nothing but action sounds don't have the same effect on me as it would if I were to watch it instead of reading it. I mostly just read Naruto because I became attached to the show, and they don't release english versions anymore, and when they did they were like 1-2 years behind the manga. Now I'm hooked, and gotta see how this ends lol.
