Series like the original Gundam, Zeta, ZZ, and V require you to be into the chronology. 00 and Seed are also decent, it depends if you like older or newer Gundam.
What on is a good one or ones to start with without prior knowledge?

08th and 0083 are solid. 00 is good if you want something newer.

I'd recommend G -Gundam or the Gundam Seed series since they are standalone series.
G-Gundam is kind of of old but its the series that got me into Gundam anime when it aired on toonami back in the day. Its about a martial arts tournament using Gundam where the winning country gets to control the world till the next tournament.

Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny are based in the same universe. Gundam Seed is about two childhood friends that end up on different sides of a war. Gundam Seed Destiny continues the story with the next gen Gundam pilots but it includes the surviving cast members from the first series. Try to watch the remastered version. Not that the original is bad looking, but the remastered one got upscaled to 720p and looks a lot better.

You can also try Gundam 00 which is a recent series, which you is also set in its own universe. The plot is pretty good since its set in a future where the earth has run out of fossil fuels. Make sure to watch this one in HD since I believe is the first Gundam Series created in HD.

If you like these I would suggest trying the older ones afterwards since most of the other ones take place in the same universe.

It would give ya some links but its a pain to do on tapatalk.

Whats up with episode 19 of fairy tale with the body switching? They ended it with a cliff hanger and I thought oh well its just filler anyway but there's been 3 separate times they were referring to that episode. Lol. Like wtf?

Ah you must be around Loke's mini-arc now, I'm guessing.

              You'll see.

Also, just wanted to post the Brynhildr opening because it's probably my favorite from any show. No lyrics needed. The score/usage of music for this series has been absolutely fantastic so far.

No I'm on the tower of heaven plot right now. They still didn't explain the body switching at all but everyone keeps referencing it though. Lol.

Lol, I know. I've added a lot of the shows talked about in the past few days and I had to ask myself, "When am I going to watch these?" Starting to become like my Steam backlog.

I'm halfway through Kill la Kill and while I'm not particularly loving it, at this point I'm committed to finishing it anyway. I watched Little Witch Academia off a suggestion last night and found it just okay, not really my thing. Good thing it was a one shot and only a half hour at that. I'm needing something a little more mature/cerebral right now if anyone has any suggestions.

Really looking forward to season 2 of Titan having kept away from the manga.

I'm a bit split on Kill la Kill.

Part of me loves it (Fight scenes are fantastic, and the animation is different/well done enough to hold my attention) and part of me... doesn't love it (it seems a bit over the top in fan service/weird factor [esp. the main Nudist Beach dude, name escapes me at the moment.])

Typical trigger anime. They take everything and make it ridiculously over the top. Gurenn Lagann and FLCL were both the same way. But its a love/hate thing.

Wait till you get to the weird *** disco mother.

I use to be a fansub guy, just a way of life before things like CR and easy availability. Where you would have to wait a year or two(or forever if you liked a niche series) before seeing your series stateside. Having CR is making things easier than an hour or so for a full series. Things I normally would pass by like Black Bullet from this season. The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior is also pretty good from this season. Non Non Biyori was also a nice slice of life watch.

Fully agreed with the easy availability of CR.

I'd normally never check out stuff like 'The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior' but I watched it on a whim and have actually really enjoyed it, and am looking forward to the next episodes.

It's been hell on my Hard Drives, though. I'm pretty much out of space and need to get a couple more externals to put stuff on for safe keeping.

Crunchyroll (and the tools to download from it) is a blessing and a curse haha.

I know how you feel. I'm pushing like 13TB of just anime right now. It doesn't help that I archive everything I watch.

Yeah, I'm with you and cubanstud21 on the hard drive bit. I still have a thing for Blu Rays as too many shows are retouched after broadcast and censored during broadcast. If I really like a show I will archive it.

Also, I took your recommendation, and man is Brynhildr crazy(another show I would have normally passed up if not for availability). I ended up catching up to the latest episode last night by binge watching it. It has this weird mix of unsettling violence, comedy, and sexuality at times. I guess it's to be expected since the manga is done by the same author as Elfen Lied.
