Ok so what are some good action animes? I liked Bleach, Naruto, DBZ and a little One Piece. I know they arnt your average types but I was just asking the question.

A few pages back, but if you like those shows then you NEED to watch Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. In my opinion, it is the greatest animes of all time. It truly is a masterpiece.

I seen a lot of that on toonami but never seen it from start to finish. I know about a bunch of plot points like Scar and I'm pretty sure the ending if the series.

Also, I took your recommendation, and man is Brynhildr crazy(another show I would have normally passed up if not for availability). I ended up catching up to the latest episode last night by binge watching it. It has this weird mix of unsettling violence, comedy, and sexuality at times. I guess it's to be expected since the manga is done by the same author as Elfen Lied.

Definitely. I've joked before about the show being a somewhat censored Elfen Lied. They never go over-the-top with it (the play the "angles" game with their drawings and stuff) and it's just, like you said, a very weird mixture. It all meshes for me, though. Probably my favorite new series for this season, if I am being honest - which I never would have guessed going in.

Well, if I AM going to put a dent in that backlog, I know where I have to start - the Persona 3 movie. Spent way too much time on that game to not watch it. And the 2nd one's coming around in about a week, too.

After that, who knows. I still I want to watch Steins Gate, and that Brynhildr one you guys have mentioned interests me as well.

I've been rewatching Yu Yu Hakusho lately. It's probably in my top 5/10 for favorite shows of all time. I forgot how much I liked this show.

Recently started Katekyo Hitman Reborn. In the mid-20 episode range with the whole Mukuro arc. Watched about half of the Daily Life arc but skipped through out of sheer boredom. Things appear to finally be getting serious though, which is a good thing. The characters are great, I just wish the main wasn't so weak.

Ubernoob, I'm assuming you've seen it from the avatar, so what is your opinion on it?

I loved it, but it was one of the "fun watches" for me.

It was so absurd and Reborn as a character was awesome. I never felt it was a slog, but I can see where people think it was a drag for sure.

I don't watch anime at all really.. but my friends convinced me to watch Attack on Titan. Finished it and I'm considering watching the English dub now.

Yeah I watched the whole thing on Netflix in about 4 days. Waiting a week for each episode suuuuucks.

I've shied away from doing that lately, as I normally wait to marathon shows. Or I wait until 4-5 episodes have aired, and dive into it. Especially when they purposely mislead and put certain scenes in episode previews . A series really has to hook me for me to follow weekly.

What is the longest series you guys have binge watched? Not Brotherhood, but the original FMA(way back) for me over two days.

We went through the original run of Fairy Tail (like 175 episodes or so) in like a week or week and a half.

That was the plan. The plan failed pretty quickly. I made it like 2 whole days before giving in and watching the first ep.

Completed Hyouka. A fun, well animated, quirky show. I need to watch the last episode of Gundam Unicorn still, can't wait to see how it ends.
