Tokyo Ghoul sounds and looks great. Studio Pierrot is one of the handful of studios that do really solid work. Studios like Production IG, Kyoto Animation, Madhouse, P.A. Works, A-1 and Bones. Shaft's shows tend to be too artsy for me. Hell, Kyoto Animation has a show about a guy running a theme park this season .

That's a lot of mind screw. I haven't read the VN, but I watched both seasons of Higurashi's anime.

Yeah, Evangelion pissed me and my cousin off near the end. Never had any desire to go through it again.

The newer Evangelion movies are well animated and worth a look. Eva didn't have too much of an effect on me, as LionsFanNJ said about it getting existential near the end. Grave of Fireflies on the other hand? That wrecked me for a whole week...

At first I thought you meant Higurashi had aired on Toonami, and I instantly thought about how much they would have had to edit it. There'd probably be nothing left other than the school life parts.

First season is dubbed, but the second (and better one IMO) is only subtitled. They're both completely insane, though.

SAO online was pretty disappointing. It was just bunch barely strung together random stories filled with annoying characters who react to things in the weirdest way possible.

Since you enjoyed Fairy Tale you might want to check out Rave Master. Its was written by the same author. Just know that the anime never got a chance to catch up to the manga, so if you want to finish the story your going to have to read the manga.

Didn't mean to like this but I'm on tapatalk and there's no way to undo it however I learned that there's 3 groups of people that have watched the Anime.

People that love it, people that absolutely hate it and people who liked the first half but thought the second half was meh.

I'm excited about GGO (SAO 2) and I'm in the third group of people. There was a YouTube video I watched on the subject and after watching it I'm pretty excited about it. But like with any anime, it's all about taste just like with food.

I just wish there was Manga for it because the light novels are absolutely crazy hard to find, lol.

I also started and finished Accel World anime yesterday and I like it as well. The main character does rub me the wrong way however his avatar does make up for it. It was also interesting to see them make a reference to the VR headset and brain chip.

Accel World is a fun show. I've heard others talk about the main characters appearance, but I had more issue with his friend in glasses, the Kendo guy. What an ******* .
