Anyone here ever been to Anime Expo?

Mel wants to go this year so I think we're gonna go to it, I just have zero clue with what to expect there. Never really been to a 'con' type thing before.

GGO was good imo and had a different feel from when they were in SAO or ALO. Still kinda dislike how much they switch MMO in the game. Plus it seems that they rush everything now.

I wonder if Season 3 is gonna be about Kirito getting to Floor 100 in Aincrad. I remember at the end of season 1 when they brung it in, he said something along the lines of reaching it. I don't see Season 3 being about anything else unless they have another Phantom Bullet arc.

After watching a little bit of Log Horizon, I wish they would of went that route instead with the show. Mainly focusing on the MMO and living there instead of real world problems and trying to live in it. Which the show did in the beginning until all the trapped players got out.

The only con I've ever been to was a comic con many years ago in Michigan and I'm sure it wasn't anything like it is today. I'd go to one now if I had the opportunity and it was close by.

Yeah it's not perfect, but I enjoy it more than any other new show right now. The art is great as well, really nice production value.

Yeah, I had read mixed reviews on Anime Expo. It's large, but supposedly the last few years with the lines and other things has gotten super unfocused and "gone downhill."

We decided on a whim to go to Anime on Display San Francisco this weekend, so hopefully we'll enjoy it. I'm expecting it to just be a somewhat small affair. A couple of the panels look decent enough, and there are always screenings going on that we can watch if we want to of shows we know we like.

I know its not Anime perse but Roosters Teeth Monty Oum has passed away. He was the creator of RWBY. I actually really enjoyed it for what its worth.

            http://roosterteeth.com/members/jour...php?id=3302319

Our friend, inspiration and co-worker Monty Oum passed away yesterday afternoon at 4:34 PM surrounded by people who loved him very much. Ten days ago Monty suffered a severe allergic reaction during a simple medical procedure that left him in a coma. Although he fought bravely, his body was not able to recover. During his time in the hospital he was well cared for and never in pain at any time.

Monty is survived by his wife Sheena, his father Mony, his brothers Woody, Sey, Chivy and Neat, and his sisters Thea and Theary, as well as a countless number of fans and friends. We were so proud to be a part of his life and we will miss him greatly.

Your generosity during the hours after the public statement on Friday will help his family deal with the costs of his care and his passing. You made an incredible difference during a difficult time and we cannot thank you enough.

As for honoring Monty, we will do that in our own way. In lieu of flowers or gifts, we ask that you simply do something creative. Use your imagination to make the world a better place in any way that you can. If you know Monty like we do, then you know he would certainly be doing that if he were able to.

            Monty was 33 years old.

            We love you, Monty.

Finished up watching Noragami tonight. Short show, but it had a nice mix of comedy and action. Lots of good comedic bits between the cast of characters when the show leans heavy. The opening is also catchy. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wO1JO4NwtjE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Fate is great, but it has an incredibly convoluted plot and often takes episodes off explaining things. I got hooked on Zero right around the time
                  Spoiler
There is currently a remake of Fate/Stay Night being simulcast on Crunchyroll which is set after Zero. I still wish they would remake the Tsukihime anime, another Type Moon project.

Speaking of Fate/Stay Night, used some free time tonight to catch up(six episode marathon). Man,
                      Spoiler
. The second half of Fate starts in April(they did a similar thing with Fate/Zero). Even though I've played the game, I still want to see how they animate it.

Finish Fate/Zero. It was aight nut the last few episodes were not the best.

Started watching Tokyo Ghoul and it a damn good show. Wasn't really expecting it to be this good of a show. The story, main character development, fights and more are just done right.

It is a must watch for anyone.
