Tenjou Tenge (anime) has good fights but wow talk about a non-ending. Even the OVA doesnt offer the slightest sense of closure. The manga is probably the way to go, though I read that theres two versions, one of which is heavily censored.

Yeah, I was just reading Wikipedia about Tenjou Tenge. If I ever get back into the series I probably will go the manga route and avoid the censored CMX version.

Anybody following Soul Eater?

Soul Eater primarily revolves around students known as meisters (職人, shokunin^?) or technicians at the Shinigami Weapon Meister Vocational School (死神武器職人専門学校, Shinigami Buki Shokunin Senmon Gakkō^?), or Shibusen (死武専, Shibusen^?) for short, located in Death City.<sup class="reference" id="cite_ref-story_0-0">[1]</sup> The school is run by Shinigami, the God of Death himself, as a training facility for weapons created by shinigami and the human wielders of those weapons, the meisters. Each meister has at least one demon weapon companion which has both a weapon and human form.

Basically technicians train their weapons (humans) to become death scythes (Shinigami weapons) by feeding them human souls that have become evil. I've watched the first 5 episodes..it's pretty cool.

With the netflix instant watch I have finally been able to catch all the Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex episodes and all I have to say is wow!

I also loved Samurai Champloo and it's wierd modern/historic story telling. Love the into in that one too.

I love GitS (hell I've had the Laughing Man logo as a background for the longest time now). Though with all the philosophy talk i had to go back and watch the 1st Gig again. And i actually got the opening song on my zune player;that and the metal opening of the later Death Note episodes as well.

Another animated series that I loved to watch is Gokusen. Great cartoon about a mob king's daughter trying to lead a normal life as a teacher at a less than noble all boys high school. I love the end credits song and animation.

Fantastic movie. Never could get into the series but the movie has made me a fan.

So i just started watching Michiko E Hatchin a new anime from the maker of Ergo Proxy and Samurai Champloo(With music from Watanabe of Bebop and Champloo fame). Its still ongoing as the sub groups are slowly dropping episodes(14th one just was subbed) but so far its good stuff. A little odd in that it takes place in a South America with a japanese twist though.

Fantastic movie. Never could get into the series but the movie has made me a fan.

Got my hands on it this past weekend man, gonna check it out. like you, I couldn't get into the series.

After ignoring every episode that aired on Adult Swim, I got a chance to sit down and get through a fan subbed version of Code Geass season 1 recently. Turned out to be a pretty damn good show. Can't wait to get season 2.

Is this based off the Afro Samurai: Season 1 episodes? I have watched a few of them on blu ray. Good, but not great.
