Re: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Just finished watching the latest episode, shame my favorite show is now dead imo. They lost their touch to me, last 2 seasons have been weak so I'll be sticking to the original seasons before they were really known. Shame really.Aaron

Horrible episode. First time I found myself wanting to play with my phone while watching an episode of Sunny.
I'm not as hard on the show's decline as others, but this past episode was definitely one of the worst. It does, however, come after Dee gets Audited which I thought was good.

STRONGLY Disagree- never stays on my DVR very long. I hope they make this into the 2020's!
You watch the reruns-I'll watch the new stuff AND the reruns!Comment

Different strokes for different folks. The new stuff is pure crap to me. Laughed once this entire season, the rest of the time I found myself just browsing the internet while my interest continually dropped off.
I dont see this series lasting much longer honestly.Aaron

Contracts really don't mean much, always a way to get around them or out of them.
Anything over 5-7 seasons is pushing it for any show really.Aaron

Re: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Unless it's a super well-written, well-acted, deep sitcom or drama, like a Frasier, Cheers, Seinfeld, etc....anything over 6 or 7 seasons is way too much.
We're seeing it here. It's sad. I mean, there really wasn't much depth to the show anyway but it's tough to do the same sort of schtick and have fresh material.Comment

We can debate about how much we like or dislike the show and I disagree with both of you, but this show will hit the 9 year mark whether you like it or not.Unless it's a super well-written, well-acted, deep sitcom or drama, like a Frasier, Cheers, Seinfeld, etc....anything over 6 or 7 seasons is way too much.

Well I don't care if it keeps going. Even if it gets to be consistently bad, I'll still watch it because A) I've gone this far and B) it's something to watch.Comment

I didn't like this past episode all that much, but I think the rest of the season has been great. Don't see the show slipping at all.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
It was one incredibly bad episode. Even if the other episodes aren't as funny as the first seasons, it isn't as if Sunny hasn't had funny moments.
I've been reading about Sunny being bad on OS for a while now and yet every year, I still see people talk about a few episodes being hilarious, a few being just okay and a few being awful.
People still watch Sunny. It does well in the ratings. It's not going anywhere anytime soon."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied.
