Ubuntu Question re: Wireless PCI Card

I know we have at least one or two people here that work with Ubuntu on at least a semi-regular basis, so I'm posing this question here before I look elsewhere...

I have Ubuntu (Gutsy Gibbon, I think) and it was working fine until I added a Linksys Wireless-N PCI card (WMP300N) to my system. Now when attempting to run Ubuntu, the system locks during the boot sequence unless I turn off all the PCI slots via system setup (there's no option to turn off individual PCI slots unfortunately, but I'm sure that the wireless card is the problem as adding that is the only thing that's changed in my system).

Is there some sort of trick I need to do to get my Ubuntu to work with this card? Do I need a newer version of the OS? Or am I out of luck?
Working...
