I don't mind the poster, but I hate that "FROM THE DIRECTOR OF THE DARK KNIGHT" is so huge and close to the title, yet presented in Arial Narrow barely seen above the title has Christopher Nolan's name.

Hopefully someday he will become a household name, but for all the right reasons.

He basically gave away nothing in that interview and the dude has the heading Nolan (somewhat) explains inception which isn't true at all imo. Prob got him more hits though.
I'm expecting to laugh at that response for eternity.

Not a fan of the poster either. I mean, it looks cool, but I think it hurts the film rather than benefits it.

The film is already confusing enough. This poster would have made people ask: "What the heck is this movie about?" Never a good question.

The Leo ones with him in the water make the audience say: "I don't know what this movie is about but Leo DiCaprio is in it and I liked him in [insert film here] so I'll watch it."

Also, Leo in the water implies a sense of impending doom. The unreleased poster implies everything the four unidentified figures are expressing in their stances: confusion.

I just absolutely love reading how Nolan's mind works. I don't even need him to talk about his mind for me to see it on paper. His verbage is good enough. This is the very reason his films are some of my favorites ever.

The article wasn't dumb per se, but the people of Collider were just kind of idiotic. First they say that like Nolan will reveal all, then they come up with the wildest theories that no one else has even heard of, let alone Nolan and he puts them in their place.

This expanded version makes everything look better for everyone, and becomes a very intricate read. In the end, the bottom link is the one worth reading, not the top (and they're both based on the same thing).

Got the Blu-Ray tonight and just finished watching. Incredible.

I am overjoyed that I had virtually zero knowledge of the plot going in. Made it all the more impactfull and mindbending. The first time I viewed this thread was just now. Win for me.

The most surprising thing is that you made it all the way until now without hearing a single thing about it. Way to go.

yeah seriously, after that movie came out everybody was talking about it.

And to goh, the top doesn't fall, but it also doesn't stay put. The answer can be interpreted by you by the details in the movie.

to me, and this is the opposite of what I have been thinking up until I read those interviews, the ending is a dream as the whole point of the movie from cobb's point was to see his kids, that's all that matters, and once he finally stopped feeling guilty for killing mal, he could finally "be" with his kids. Whether the whole movie he is in limbo or not, idk. I think the movie is too subjective to make a rational objective conclusion to the movie. well done Nolan, well done.

There is absolutely no reason to still be talking about this movie in spoiler tags.

The movie is out on DVD - it's fair game. If someone who hasn't seen the movie comes into this thread and gets the movie ruined for them, it's their fault.

By the way, the rental version of this movie sucks. You can't skip through the previews and your only menu options are "Play Movie" and "Languages". There's not even a scene selection option. I can't wait until I get the full retail combo pack on Christmas day.

Exactly,it's normally black and white,it spins perfect/stays put or it wobbles,it wobbled so he's not in the place where it doesn't. Then there's the whole wedding ring thing.

So there's no major hole in thinking he never came back from limbo when he originally went there with his wife, could be like 10 levels deep, can't get out and his wife is trying to help him? The top does indicate different worlds but it's not the real world and dream world but limbo and the dream world.
