What Are Present Day 3-D Movies Like?
I've never experenced on, and now they are becoming the norm with Monsters v Aliens and such. Is is like a little better version of those creature from the black lagoon 1950's movies or is it like the Terminator 2 experience at Universal Studios?Tags: None -

I think they are pretty cool. I know people freak out over the glasses, but they are not bad at all and are comfortable.

What studios are doing right is not focusing on 3D objects flying at you the entire time. It's not like a 3D show at a theme park where you are dodging and catching things. I personally just love the depth is gives movies, it's like you are watching a play more then film on screen. -

Yeah it gives a ton of depth to the movie... it's great.
Also, the 3-D now a days is so much better than what you saw in the early 90's... also, the shades are pretty stylish, and do not hurt your ears with the cardboard like they used to.http://flotn.blogspot.com

I saw Bloody Valentine 3D when it came out and had a headache within 45 minutes. I just felt like I had to keep straining my eyes and moving them all over the place with the odd depth and focus.
Oh, and I have excellent vision so it had nothing to do with a prescription or anything.Comment

I just watched Monsters VS Aliens in 3D last weekend. Pretty cool, took a little while to get used to. There's a few scenes where it seems like something on the screen is gonna actually hit you.
Pretty good movie, btw. Seth Rogans character is hilarious.Comment
