Best way to have a second wired wifi connection in home?

I currently am using a Nighthawk router in my den on first floor. I have the PS5 and my tv hard wired into it for games and streaming. The router proivides great coverage for the most part in my condo (only 2 levels).

I have a set up in lower level currently using a wi fi extender. This works pretty well MOST of the time, but as we all know, sometimes you can get dropouts and stuttering. I’d like to eliminate that.

What is the best way to have a second wired connection in my lower level? I can’t easily run a cable from my router on first floor down there.

    Thank you for any advice!!

If I understand the ask correctly then a mesh wifi system is probably what you're looking for.

The mesh system gives you a separate router and satellites that you can position around your house for 1 - Great wifi coverage, and 2 - you can run an ethernet from whatever component that you're wanting to hardwire into one of the mesh satelites (similar to connecting an ethernet to a wifi extender). You're obviously still on a wireless system, but the benefit is that the mesh satellites tend to have better speeds and fewer drops than wifi extenders.

Would I need to replace my current router or just buy a mesh satellite?

You will need to check your router model but I don't think mesh is enabled. Most likely you need to buy a complete mesh system. I wouldn't go with netgear if you are buying something new.

For WIRED connections you can also use Ethernet over Power adapters like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0778Y6K6N...f_=as_li_ss_tl

I used these in the past and they worked really well. Basically it uses your existing electrical wiring to transmit data as well.

Not sure exactly what you want, but I have a TPLink meth system. The 2nd "node" is wireless, but my xbox is connected to it via ethernet. The node uses the faster 6ghz wireless backhaul to connect to the main router. So my speed test and reliability are still very fast, and reliable enough that I played a lot of CFB25 and WarZone.

I went with the eero 6e Pro mesh system. Runs like lightening and I have my tv and Sonos system hooked up with ethernet. The Sonos is an eARC with 2 rear wireless Play1’s. A second eero 6e is downstairs serving that area wirelessly.
