Yeah I saw it last night. I understand why people are upset, I just think if the source material was anything different, people wouldn't be near as up in arms. And I'm a firm believer in the source material itself. Anyways, I get it, I just don't agree with the criticisms.

All I can say is I appreciate your point of view, I strongly disagree with the movie and feel it strayed so far from the source material that I will no longer entertain the idea of ever seeing a movie directed by Darren Arnofsky again. IMO it was a bait and switch to get ticket sales, but again thats just my opinion and unfortuately due to the subject matter of the movie I cant really dive into this as deeply as I would like.

I can't stress about how much I hated this movie. I like Steve Carrell but his character "Bricks" is not even funny and I find him to be annoying. The ending with the big fight is probably the lamest part of the movie..Who writes that stuff?

I actually loved the big fight as it was a direct link to the first one when they had a big fight in the alley with other reporters. I didnt think it was as good as the first one but I did enjoy the movie overall.

This was my most disappointing movie of last year. The first one is one of my all-time favorites, and I despise everything about the 2nd one. When Will Ferrell can't save a movie for me, it's bad.

Well, when pre-release coverage consists of outraged people because the film does not contain certain titles/words then people are going to be mad for little or no reason. I see it all the time around here. Hell, people were even bitching about God's Not Dead. These people stay unhappy.

Well, when pre-release coverage consists of outraged people because the film does not contain certain titles/words then people are going to be mad for little or no reason. I see it all the time around here. Hell, people were even bitching about God's Not Dead. These people stay unhappy.

Hardly and there is reason for that as well. Just because you seem to think it doesnt matter doesnt somehow diminish its importance to other people and them taking offense doesnt mean they are perpetually unhappy either.

I've never heard of the film, so when people keep saying "source material" I was assuming it was some sort of recent novel or something. I figured somebody would have brought up the word "Bible" without being too cryptic about it haha, so I started to get curious.
