Call Northside 777 (1948): One of the great films of the Hollywood System days put out by 20th Century Fox. This is actually based on a true story of a reporter who is pretty much pushed by his newspaper editor to look into the case of a man who was thrown in jail for life for killing a cop 11 years earlier. I actually think with some updating but staying true to the facts that this could be a pretty good flick if remade right. The movie has a documentary feel for about the first 10 minutes but afterwards it turns into a very well done investigative/noir type piece.
Jimmy Stewart is fantastic as the cynical reporter who thinks this is all a waste of time but as he gets deeper and deeper into the case he realizes that hey, this Wiacek (Richard Conte) guy is innocent! Conte isn't in the film for very long but he really comes off impressively as a guy who knows he's innocent and wants get out but he will NOT be used as a publicity tool for Stewart's newspaper. Everyone in this film were fantastic in their roles and it's a film you should seek out if you haven't seen it before.

), but he was a pretty good fit for Tarzan and obviously I'm a fan of Margot Robbie.
