What order do I watch them in, and is there any that I might just want to skip in general?

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2
    Batman: Under the Red Hood
    Batman: The Killing Joke
    Batman Year One
I'm not to sure about the order but I've seen the first 4 you have listed and thought they were all great. I enjoyed Under the Red Hood the most though.

      Guardians Of The Galaxy

What a great movie. Hands down for me the best Marvel movie yet.

      GOTG
      Antman
      CA Winter Solider
      The Avengers

Those 4 for me are above all others (not includong the first 2 X-Men movies and X-Men The First class). I can't wait to see the new GOTG flick this summer.

I have not seen Dr Strange or Deadpool yet for the record.

Just watched Arrival and loved it. Such a great buildup, even though the climax was a bit weak. The emotion and themes of the movie were the best part. Some pretty good sci-fi, but this is much more of a personal story and it's fantastic.

Wonder if they'll do a sequel? It did $163 million worldwide on a $47 million budget.

I guess there is a sequel opportunity. I would like for them to try another of the short stories from the author this was based on.

              Stick (1985)

A pretty good Burt Reynolds flick that was based on an Elmore Leonard novel. Leonard trashed the movie for being just another mindless film and thus hurt its performance at the box office. It didn't help that Universal forced Reynolds (who directed) to make cuts in the 2nd half of the movie to make it more mainstream and have touches of humor. There isn't a huge disconnect in what Reynolds did in the first half which was pretty moody and quite good but the characterization of some of the supporting players made it a little goofy. All in all not a bad film per se and I rather enjoyed some of the natural humor. (not the forced upon kind)

              Here's a summary from IMDB:

Ernest 'Stick' Stickley returns from prison, and very soon he gets involved with his old friend in a drug-running deal that goes sour. Hired by a rich investor, he tries to walk the line, but trouble follows him throughout as he tries to collect a debt and make up for lost time with his daughter. Stick also finds a new flame with a financial wiz and gets set to enjoy a new life, but Chucky and Nestor, the two hoods who owe him the debt, have other plans for Stick.

Actually saw this in the theater when it came out way back when....was 15 years old at the time and remember enjoying it. This and Sharkey’s Machine were a couple of my favorites from his earlier stuff in the 80’s.

I agree except for the climax/reveal. This was like an incredible 2-hour long Twilight Zone episode. I think a sequel would be counterproductive and ruin the impact of the story.

I saw that it was on TV and was going to watch it, but it had a commercial break... flipped to something else, and forgot to look back.

I'm intrigued to watch it, but the news story saddens me far too much at the same time. It's On Demand, so I think I'll check it out. Thanks for reminding me.

Hidden Figures was really good. I see it got an Oscar nom for Best Picture and Best Actress In A Supporting Role for Octavia Spencer.

I've seen 2 theatrical movies in 2017 so far.

Monster Trucks - Kids liked it, wasn't awful, but was a fun little movie.

Patriots Day - Truly awful movie. Mark Whalberg ruined the entire thing. Last 35 minutes of it were good, like reliving the CNN broadcast but being there. If you watched it on the news, you seriously saw the movie already...sans Whalberg's terrible acting. My wife wanted to leave 10 minutes into it due to the 50-60 F bombs in a completely unnecessary scene.

Hell or High Water is a very good movie with a great cast. I'm glad I watched it, but it's not nearly as enthralling as Sicario (same writers) so I doubt I will see it again.

Really? I liked Sicario too, just surprised at the "not nearly" comparison. Thanks for the input.
