I still think this show is really funny as well; however, I think the whole Robin & Barney plot was a bad idea from the beginning.

I was so happy about Robin and Barney, but I have completely soured on the storyline now. I'm looking forward to when Barney gets rid of her. I just hope they don't make them Ross and Rachel. They have proven you can't change Barney into a boyfriend. T

ed telling Robin she may be kidding herself with Barney was a sign to me. Something tells me they hook up when Robin gets sad about Barney. Then Barney tells Ted to F himself. Hopefully anyway. Ted was completely unjustified, he deserves it. **** I should write for this show.

Man I feel bad for you guys, cause this show is still very funny to me.

I agree...though it has lost a bit without Barney's outlandish behavior, but it's still quality to me. Though I also find Ted a little funny even though he's the least funny of the characters. There's just a lot of relationship stuff right now, maybe a bit relationship heavy, we need other plots that aren't centered on Ted's dating life or Robin/Barney...

Yeah, still funny moments but the shows balance is off so far this season. Seems too dependent on the subplots to carry the bulk of the humor while the main storyline is weighed down in a "relationship" moment.

I still enjoy it, but it's almost like they ran out of ideas for the show (outside who the mother really is) and are just filling space. It has its funny momments, but its all filler now and it wont all be funny.

Watching the episode online at CBS - worst streaming ever. I really liked the episode though; however, I hope they start focus on Ted and the mother for a couple episodes.

Then you probably need to find a new show to watch. Ted's future wife is the PREMISE of the show.




People need to wake up and realize this show is about Ted. His friends are secondary characters. The show focused on Ted a lot in season 1.

Unless Marshall & Lily get pregnant, there's really nothing else to be done with that storyline. They're married and they've found their "home."

Although Robin 101 was great, I've never really liked the Barney & Robin storyline because it ultimately takes away from Barney's character.

So, since there isn't really but one place to go with Marshall & Lily, and Robin & Barney are tied up together in the same storyline, that just leaves Ted who basically has nothing going on except for his teaching.

So yeah, I want them to focus on Ted the next several episodes.

It was quality when they had the cake decorator early on...sometimes Ted stories can be cool, just they have to do it more right...not just a quickie little ep with no stuff going forward.

I don't understand why people are so focused on Ted meeting the mother. Sure it's the central story, but the show is a comedy. It's not even a comedy/drama like Scrubs or Gilmore Girls.

When I caught up with the show over this summer, I thought to myself that this was a well-written show more than it was a comedy. I got really caught up in the story of the mother before I was laughing at the jokes. Maybe it's just me.
