    Firefox 3.6

    Firefox 3.6 is out.

    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox...rom=getfirefox

    New addition include:

    Notable Firefox 3.6 features include:

    * Available in more than 70 languages - get your local version.

    * Support for a new type of theme called Personas, which allow users to change Firefox's appearance with a single click.

    * Protection from out-of-date plugins to keep users safer as they browse.

    * Open, native video can now be displayed full screen and supports poster frames.

    * Improved JavaScript performance, overall browser responsiveness, and startup time.

    * The ability for web developers to indicate that scripts should run asynchronously to speed up page load times.

    * Continued support for downloadable web fonts using the new WOFF font format.

    * Support for new CSS attributes such as gradients, background sizing, and pointer events.

    * Support for new DOM and HTML5 specifications including the Drag & Drop API and the File API, which allow for more interactive web pages.

    * Changes to how third-party software can integrate with Firefox in order to prevent crashes.

The two items I italicized were the two that were most noticeable for me. It boots up quicker and seems to load busy pages quicker as well. The "personas" thing is pretty cool for those that like to customize the look of their browser even more than usual.

Who wants to bet they've included Pirate language?

I'll be sticking with Google Chrome.

I'll pass. The last time I updated Firefox, everything went to hell. It got choppy, segmented, I had to click on things like 3 times, etc.

I have so many plugins to make my Firefox look like Google Chrome (but run AdBlock) that i'm sure upgrading would cause most of them to crap out on me.

I'll stick with what I got.

                  Re: Firefox 3.6

Mine is doing it at least 4 or 5 times per session. Its not that big of a deal because you can just restore but it is kind of annoying. I wonder if maybe it's one of the add on's i got from Mozilla like fastest fox or the ad blockers that is causing it?

I never had this problem with the older versions but i'm seriously thinking of switching to Chrome if this keeps up. I keep checking for updates but nothing yet....

I'm having all kinds of problems with it. It crashes a lot. Then I ended up having to create a new profile to fix a problem where the Firefox process would be running but the browser window would never open. Now its back to doing that sometimes and I have no idea why. Think I need to use something else because this is getting too frustrating.

I upgraded and now I'm just pissed that it completely threw my personal "zoom" options out of whack.

Now OS is either gigantic or incredibly tiny. Every other website seems okay, but I can't find whatever setting I had OS on before anymore. It's getting really annoying and is almost enough to make me want to finally switch to Chrome.
