Earlier today, Microsoft launched Kin, a new series of touchscreen mobile smartphones focused on social networking, photography and the needs of Generation Y, its target audience.
After the event, we had the opportunity to try out both version of the phone for ourselves: a square 4 GB version and a rectangular 8 GB model. In a lot of ways, it’s the spiritual (and social) successor to the T-Mobile Sidekick, whose parent company was bought by Microsoft in 2008.
