        Kyuss, that's Homme's project before QOFSTA correct. I never gave them a shot yet. Mastodon's Crack The Skye is easily their most melodic disc. Not near as rowdy as the previous three, though Blood Mountain started to show some of the melodic side of the group. The first three songs on CTS are essential Mastodon.

              Not the biggest Killswitch fan anymore, nor the biggest metal fan. But I loved this song back in 2003. Now the only metal I listen to is Between the Buried and Me and Arsis...maybe some Human Abstract as Well.

                    I see the state of Hard Rock has pretty much meshed with Metal..I have loads of these bands in my collection.

                      Pete are you looking for more of the 80's Hard Rock style?(Rough Cutt, Ratt, Dokken, Lillian Axe, Whitesnake...ect ) These type of bands still exist in Europe and many of them are quite good.
