Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
I have seen most of the Season 6 episodes again, and they aren't as bad as what I remember...could be that I'm not getting my hopes up for a really funny/entertaining episode second time around.
Anyway, I still love this show.
Also wanted to know if anyone saw the rumors of Tim Allen possibly replacing Steve Carrell on this show. I read that online, but we'll see what happens. I think that would be pretty cool. Although I think "replacing" Carrell is a horrible idea. I don't think he's replaceable.

I fricken love Tim Allen, but at the same time, I'm not sure if/how that would work. I just keep thinking about what you said... is replacing Carrell really a good idea? Especially when he's been since a central, solid figure for so long?I have seen most of the Season 6 episodes again, and they aren't as bad as what I remember...could be that I'm not getting my hopes up for a really funny/entertaining episode second time around.

We'll see I guess, but I do think this series will be coming to an end sooner than later... which makes me sad

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
I heard Harvey Keitel a week or two ago. Not sure how I feel about that. Or Tim Allen who will always be Tim "The Toolman" Taylor to me.
Bring in Rhys Darby and end the search. I think he fits best.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
I don't think it's about money with Carell, I think he just wants to do movies.
Why he'd want to do movies after making Evan Almighty and Get Smart I don't really know, but if that's what he wants he can go for it. I'd suggest teaming with Judd Apatow or Tina Fey in any upcoming projects, because The 40 Year Old Virgin and Date Night were really the only movies of his that I can think of that I liked.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
Because Get Smart and Evan Almighty grossed a total of $400 Million dollars worldwide. He's a bankable medium level movie star, and doing a TV series and movies is probably pretty time consuming. He has the potential to get up to Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell money status, so that's one reason to do movies.I don't think it's about money with Carell, I think he just wants to do movies.

He was also great in Little Miss Sunshine. Give him a decent script and the sky's the limit for this guy.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
Earlier in this thread, I posted what I think is a good idea, for the writers to do when Carrell leaves.
Have David Wallace's Suck It company somehow make tons of money. Wallace buys back Dunder Mifflin, and transfers Michael to Corporate in New York.
That way, Michael Scott is still there, but not on the show. This way, they can still get phone calls and e-mails from Michael Scott, so we'd still hear crazy, idiotic, hilarious things that Michael always said, just in e-mail form.
They could at least do this for a season, and see how the audience reacts.

Transfer Michael to Nashua to be with Holly.
We all know he's ending this story with Holly. I would be SHOCKED if he didn't.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
Well, I figure Jo will bring Holly back to Scranton. But if they would transfer Michael to New York, she could obviously go with him.
The whole Tim Allen thing would be cool, but they can't bring him in as a replacement. You bring anyone in to replace Steve Carrell, you're doomed. But if they brought someone in that is good at comedy, and can work well with the current cast, it could work out.

After initially rejecting the idea of even considering Tim Allen coming aboard The Office, I admit now the thought is quite interesting.Well, I figure Jo will bring Holly back to Scranton. But if they would transfer Michael to New York, she could obviously go with him.
