I didn't see any thread like this when I looked so hopefully this isn't a duplicate.

Anyways has anyone been to any good concerts lately?


Probably a bit different than most, but I saw Celtic Woman last night at the Fox Theatre here in Atlanta last night and they were amazing. I have a pretty eclectic taste in music so I like all kinds of genres.

Tried to go see VersaEmerge in December, but friends flaked out on me at the very last minute.

Went to a Jimmy Eat World show at the beginning of this month, they played at University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA (for reasons which I'm not sure, there's no good reason for anyone to go to Fredericksburg, but nevertheless...)

The band was quite excellent, they are really quite talented. The crowd for whatever reason, however, wasn't quite into it, at least when compared to my one other recent point of reference (that being Muse, crowd was bonkers and it was tons of fun). It's like they were only there for but a few of the songs, whereas I was that one guy singing out every word, lol.

Still glad I went though, it was fun.

But I just got my hands on Black Keys/Cage the Elephant for July 3!

Will be going to see The Decemberists in July at the Britt Festival in Jacksonville, Oregon.

Last one I went to was Download Fest 2010 UK. Headliner was Rage against the Machine.

Received VIP passes from Five Finger Death Punch due to where I worked at the time for me and 19 other military folk. We had a freaking blast... the VIP passes gave us access to everything the band members did. Backstage on all of the stages and we even could get free massages, liquor, etc.

I got to chill () with Megadeth and the Deftones. The Megadeth manager was cool as **** and he passed a 1L Jack bottle around the table where I was sitting with Megadeth/Deftones while a was going around as well.

There were sooo many things going around it was insane! I probably had one of the best times of my life... no lie.

Flickin' Rages trailer off since they were either not in it ever or never came out (Yes I am & drunk right there) (actually I was and drunk the whole day from 9am - 2/3am I don't really remember what time anymore)

Still in the trailer with Frank Delgado in the hoodie, Detones manager (chick turned away) was cool as **** for letting us hang... we got to drink some beers and joke a bit with them. Cool A** dudes.

I didn't go to this one in person, but just watched Nickelback: Live in Sturgis on HDNet. I wish I was there because it was one high energy show with lots of naked women!!

Won tickets to James Blunt on November 27 and bought my wife an early x-mas present with tix to Prince on November 30th.
