The big flaw in all this is how quick Louis became obsessed with Dexter and that it happens simply from him seeing Dexter at crime scenes doing his thing. He hasn't really spent time working side by side with him this season except for a couple of crime scenes. And if this obsession started before he became an intern (and that's the reason he joined the Dept, to get closer to Dexter) then how would Louis know who Dexter even is, or suspect is the Bay Harbour Butcher, beforehand. It's not like Dexter is some semi-famous celebrity in Miami.

Re: Dexter (Season 6)
I think Louis had a suspicion, maybe reading off the report and known that Ice truck killer's brother was Dexter also lets not forget Dexter is known publicly as someone who was a victim of Trinity. I can see this is plausible knowing Louis is meticulous and his research/computer skills are amazing.
For all the seasons of the show we know Dexter as the smartest person in the show and tricks and manipulates people like no other. Dexter is by far the best detective in Miami. Maybe Louis is that smart or even smarter than Dexter.
Louis not even a cop, has been the best detective on the Doomsday killer case. He discovered things that I don't think any other detective would have found other than Dexter.
The show is a doing a good job in showing that he's a real nice stand up nerdy guy. That's not fooling me, he's has dark side especially making a game like he did.Comment

My problem with Louis somehow knowing Dexter's secret and knocking down the first domino is that he would have been created for that reason.
That's cheap. You can't introduce a new character six seasons in and have him determine the direction of the series.

Re: Dexter (Season 6)
Seriously. What are they doing? It's just so.....wrong. I can't believe they're really going forward with this.
Even stranger is the fact that Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are divorced and now the writers are suddenly trying to push forward some amazingly awkward/strange/uncomfortable Deb and Dexter love thing? Like really, what the ****?Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

I'll just keep my comments to myself and say the finale looks like it'll be full of surprises and twists.Comment

It's an open forum. Might as well just post them.
I still can't believe they're trying to pull this on us though. I still was feeling uncomfortable 5 minutes after the episode ended.

Re: Dexter (Season 6)
Aside from that mess, the episode was alright. The painting Travis did of Dexter was comical though.
I just want this season to end. I've never felt that way about this show until now. They ruined my anticipation for the reveal of Dexter's Dark Passenger to Deb with this love nonsense. I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to explore this but I've already expressed my thoughts on it, so I'll leave it at that.
Aside from some pretty poor writing at times, the main reason this season has failed to me is the complete weakness of Travis as a main villain. Seasons 1 and 4 were the best seasons of this show because Brian and Trinity were such great villains. Hell, Season 5 with Jordan Chase as the villain was pretty weak as well, but at least Lumen's story was interesting. This season has just been so off the mark. It started out well but has just gone downhill completely since about, I don't know, episode 5 or 6?
The most frustrating part is that there's still 2 more seasons left and if this is the direction they continue to go in, I don't know how the show could possibly go out on a high note. I hope I'm wrong, but there's just been so many weak points and wtf moments that my faith is fading fast.
Dexter is my favorite show, possibly ever, and I hate to see it going this way. I used to always be able to rely on the show to provide me with a solid hour of TV. Now when I watch an episode, I'm not nearly as excited to watch it because I don't know what to expect when it comes to the quality of what I'm about to watch. How we got to this point I don't know. All I know is it's frustrating to see the show unfold like this, and after next week we're stuck waiting until next year just to see if they can right their wrongs.
EDIT: I'm really starting to sound like Seymour.
