This whole show is sometimes just very frustrating.

You could just miss this whole past episode, and miss nothing overall story wise.

Before the episode they wanted to let Randall go free, and Rick and Shane secretly kind of hated one another and seemed destined for a showdown.

So the whole episode all they do is waste ammo, gas, and almost get killed by zombies. Rick and Shane still hate one another and are still destined for a showdown, and the kid Randall wasnt even let free.

So basically the episode as far as advancing the story, accomplished nothing.

Then we see this coming week they lock Randall up and interrogate him in the barn. Ummm, wouldnt this have been like the thing you would do BEFORE you decide to drive 18 some miles and let him go? Wouldnt you be questioning the hell out of him as soon as you got him back to the farm?

Also, this kid the week before had his leg impaled, and now he is running around like nothing happened? Randall should be limping around for months with what happened to his leg.

Seriously, the writing on this show really defies logic at times.

I'm normally pretty forgiving for flawed logic when it comes to movies and tv shows, but the leg being healed well enough for him to run around really bugged me. It still bugs me. Definitely not a deal breaker, but I definitely was like "WTF?"

I liked the episode. Mainly because I like Rick being a bad *** about stuff. Him laying the law down about how things are going to be between him and Shane was awesome IMO. Rick has been on a rampage since he shot those dudes in the bar.

I'm thinking about ordering The Walking Dead Compendium Volume 1.

I'm very interested in how the comics and tv show differ and everyone seems to love the comics.

You should do it man...I seriously need something to tide me over once season2 is done. I will probably re-watch season2 sometime before 3 airs, but I would like to get further in the story and learn more about the world of the walking dead.

I think it did advance the story. I thought that it would be over between Shane and Rick, that they sort of squashed everything, but then we see that clip of Shane telling Andrea that Rick shouldn't be the leader. From Rick's perspective he is settled with Shane, he gave Shane his gun back. So maybe there is a surprise in store for Rick and he will be blindsided by Rd2 with Shane?

Shane died a long time ago in the comic book. Maybe they are trying to find a way to kill him off?

What is silly about the Randall situation is that he just helped them escape and was a catalyst in saving Shane's life. Now he is back to being interrogated, and treated as an outsider.

Eh, they didnt squash anything. I think they both know they hate one another at this point. Shane wants to be the leader, and feels he is correct in how things are handles, and Rick believes his ways are best for the group.

You could pretty much not watch this past episode at all, and not miss a thing relating to the plot.

They initially didn't know the kid knew who Maggie was. So now they assume he does know where the farm is located and can't just let him go.

And I think they're questioning him in the next episode because there contemplating whether he should be killed or not. They previously had no reason to question him because he meant nothing to them. All they wanted to do was move on from the kid.

My gf just started reading my compendium before bed last night. I'm real excited for her to see all that stuff that's different between the two. She's never let me talk to her about it since we've been watching the show.

How did the kid know that Maggie was at the farm? Wasn't he blindfolded with headphones on the whole time?

I think they only blindfolded him when he was in the car, so that he couldn't trace the trail to the farm. But they probably removed the blindfold when he arrived at Hershel's home and was getting his leg stitched. Some point while recovering at the home, he might have spotted Maggie.

If he didn't spot her, he already said he knew who Maggie's dad was, so by now the kid (Randall) knows there are people living in a farm that's loaded with crops and livestock.

I watched episode 10 over again last night (commercial free on my Zune season pass), and Randall wasn't all as limber as some would have you believe. He definitely was not running, kind of a fast walk?

Started reading the series today at lunch, I am on issue #8 right now. Pretty good and quite a bit different from the show already.
