    Refurbished electronics?

I was looking at buying a TV and saw some great deals on refurbs, but I'm still sort of hesitant.

Do any of you guys buy refurbished electronics?

I think for game systems, no. Especially avoid Refurb Depot. Ripoff artists.

I just bought 2 refurbed WD Live streaming boxes and have 6 months through Western Digital and going to see if SquareTrade will warranty them additionally. The only refurbed TV's I'd deal with are from local vendors. I'd hate to have to hassle boxing up a big TV and shipping it out.

I've never had a problem with re-ferbs. Seems to be where the best quality meets the best price point...

I'm probably going to go this route, just need to find a very good deal and sell the subs in my car.

love refurb stuff, but always I get it from a reputable company. The last thing I bought was refurb beats by dre studio headphones that are usually 350 bucks and got them for $130 and they're perfect.

Yeah I don't mind picking up a refurb at all. There's some really good deals out there.

I'm ordering an Onkyo HT-S3400 refurb for $240, retails for around $380.

I've had great success with refurbished products. Just make the sure it is a quality brand to begin with or it will likely break again.

The hp laptop I'm using is a refurb I got 3+ years ago and my dvd player/burner for my tv is also a refurb, a Phillips.

I bought a refurbished Vizio 32" LCD a few years ago and it worked fine for over a year. Then the motherboard fried and I had to spend another $150 to get it fixed. It's been great since then, though. I don't know if it was a result of being a refurbished TV, or just bad luck.
