I bought it on BR myself. Great documentary.
One of the things that really stood out to me was how progressive their mentality was in creating offense on ice.
Hockey fans of the past 20 years really have no idea how unfortunate they are.
They think what they watch now is the best hockey out there, but it's not even close.
Watching how the Soviets would weave and interchange parts on the ice in order to create waves of offense was like watching a master pianist tickle the ivory's.
The Oilers were very similar and I still contend the best hockey ever played on this planet was during the '87 Canada Cup 3-game series. All three games were 6-5 affairs and I don't recall one koolaid drinking zealot complaining about too much offense and not enough blocked-shots and inflated belly saves.

Those three games were like watching two HOF boxers go toe-to-toe for 36 rounds.

I highly recommend anyone who likes hockey to watch that documentary and purchase it in some type of format.
That kind of hockey artistry will probably never be seen again in an NHL rink.

        Yup, that's the name!
Captain Slava Fetisov recalls his days leading Russia's dominant Red Army hockey team during the Cold War in this historical sports documentary.

It's available on the Canadian site. Not sure about U.S. though.

Yeah they were pinpoint with there passes. The thing that really threw teams off was that the russians would pass backwards & wind up there play. They really revolutionized with their style of play. I really enjoyed the hockey back than growing up.

            Absolutely!
They didn't believe in just throwing the puck away and giving it to the other team with a thoughtless dump-in.
If they couldn't enter the zone, they'd circle back and regroup.
And their dmen were seen more as a mid-fielder than dman. Everyone was expected to fill gaps and be part of the process.

Those Summet Series' and Canada Cups were unbelievable.
It gave the world a glimpse at how great this sport can be.

Frontier with Jason Momoa in 4K is pretty amazing, loving this series right now. I like the time period and the location setting.

IMO, there's Jessica Jones and then everything else.

But I'll give Narcos, Making a Murder, and Master of None honorable mentions. The wife liked Orange is the New Black but I couldn't do it.

Just got Netflix from a friend and I don't watch a lot of shows. To me TV became crap after the 90's and most of the time like 90% of the time I watch TV I am watching sports and there is only so much time to watch TV when I am trying to keep up with sports and with having to work, sleep and trying to game.

I can see it not being for everyone as it does have a weirdness to it which I love. Also love the 80's era which I have alot of great memories from growing up.

My wife and I contemplated turning it off until about episode 3 and then it was game on. Looking forward to Season 2.

Didn't know where to put this, Not exclusive to netflix It can be really any show, but I just finished Ray Donovan through season 4 and am looking for what show I should add to my streaming rotation next.

I have seen alot of your major hit shows, so Im looking for something a little under the radar. Here's what I am currently watching and what I think of them to help with a suggestion...

The Leftovers- 5 episodes left in S2. Love it. Will probably finish it in the next few days.
Silicon Valley- Just started, it's alright so far but not amazing.
The Americans- In season 2. It's alright, think it's a bit overrated. I HATE the guy playing the male-lead.
Stranger Things- About halfway through, not my favorite, but it's OK.

                                Shows I love/loved...
                                Breaking Bad
                                The Wire
                                Archer
                                Game of Thrones
                                House of Cards
                                Homeland
                                Treme
                                Deadwood
                                Fargo
                                Fringe
                                etc

Thinking about maybe Bloodline or The Affair or The Knick. Heard good things about all of those, but idk. Thanks.
