In the BB14 commercial, it seems awkward. She has like 70% fake hair.


Any early predictions on who wins? Seeing the commercial that basically hypes up the season, SO MUCH seems to have already happened in the house. Sucks that this is all we got on episode 1.

Boogies team will win this game. Frank is the one to win the season. If not him, then Ian. If not Ian, then Wil(on Janelles team).

Dans team WON'T win this game(I hope the other 2 are gone soon too). Jannelles could be an underdog team. Brittneys team is neutral right now. I had enough of the Hantzs, but you still know Hantz people will make TV dramatic at time. Shane reminded me of Brendan(which isn't a good thing, since Brendan sucked,though only with Rachel around), and JoJo seems like she'll be that annoying stereotypical girl from the island in new york(in this case, staten island)

I'm not a fan of returning players on BB or Survivor unless it's a full cast of returning players but I'm happy with the 4 coaches.

With this mentor gimmick, it's obvious Grodner will just make up the rules as the season goes along. I think the coaches will eventually end up playing the game like the rest of the house. They haven't explained what happens to the Coach if his/her team gets evicted.

While I'm sure at least half of the cast was recruited, I really enjoyed the first season. We have a lot of interesting players this season.

I like the fact they stepped up the eye candy with Kara, Danielle, and Britney. I'm still on the fence if Ashley is attractive or not. As for Will ..... wow. For some reason the casting producers have yet to cast a young attractive lesbian on any of the major CBS reality shows.

In the year 2012, I can't believe BB still isn't in HD. Heck the prize money is still the same as Season 1.

BB has over 50 cameras. It'd be expensive for all those in HD, and for them to stream those feeds online as well, will be expensive as well.

Nothing wrong with prize money, 500,000 is still good enough for most people. They spend more money on the show than Survivor(since Survivor doesn't pay electricity or anything,or much money for food), so there's less available for them to give for prize money.

I'm guessing if the coachs team gets evicted, the coach leaves too.

At this point, HD cameras aren't that expensive, especially when we are talking about CBS. Heck TAR and Survivor use HD cameras. The prize money isn't that much when you consider almost half of it goes towards taxes.

Actually Survivor is a far more expensive show to produce. Survivor has a massive filming crew. It was getting so expensive they had to start filming seasons back to back to save money. I remember reading about 2 years ago how Big Brother is one of the cheapest shows on network TV. There's basically only 1 on air talent and everything is filmed in a isolated studio location in LA. A whole season probably costs less than 5 million dollars.

I understand the house can't be in HD ... or at least all of it (still think a few of the main cams should be), but there is no reason why the studio (outside the house) cameras can't be HD. Thanks for reminding me, BB, what it's like to watch a show in SD.

I honestly have been under a rock when it comes to big brother since it first started. So this summer while looking for shows to pick up I started to semi follow the UK version of Big Brother and liked it enough to give this one a try and the shows couldnt be more different. I find the UK version to be more fun than what I've seen of the US. I skimmed through season 13 of the US show and it was blah. I really don't like the host of the US version at all. Shes annoying as hell to me.

Im rooting for the dude who is brothers with the Survivor guy only because apparently he has the biggest target on his back.

^Season 13 really isn't the best season to be watching if you're now getting into big brother. If you want to watch a season of big brother again(or for first time), it'd be season 7(all stars) or season 8.

And the host is ok, she seems to be way better on the talk(I saw that show one time cause person from survivor was getting their cheque on it). Even then...she only hosts the show 1 day of the 3 shows each week.

I think part of reason she's not the best for big brother is cause I don't think she watches the show as much as the fans do. For Survivor, Jeff is there for the 39 days and tribal council lasts like an hour each time. On Amazing Race, Phil has to keep up with the cameras and gets updates all the time on the racers(since he has to know what's going on from the start of the leg, to the point when people cross the finish mat, so he knows if penalties happen or anything good/bad happened to people).

On Big Brother, the host just seems to be able to host the show while only watching the same amount of footage that fans do(meaning the 3 episodes each week and that's it). I remember someone in the house saying that they asked her about if she watches the live feed and she said she never really did.

Either way, she's still a good host(better than hosts from most non CBS reality shows), and has been host for 13 years now, so no reason to change hosts.

Show was watched by only 7M people. Seems real strange with tv ratings, cause a CBS show last week got 8M viewers and it was only a rerun. Though BB is going up against wipeout and the choice, 2 shows that'll probably share a good amount of viewers with big brother

I haven't had time to follow the live feeds so my only knowledge of the game is what I've seen on CBS, but I like the gameplay so far.

I think we have a house full of smart players this season. From Willie's perspective, putting Frank and Kara is the right move (although I wouldn't have made a "deal" with Frank). You want to get out a strong player and try to turn the Coaches against each other.

That Ian kid is weird. The Super Fans are always the creeps (Adam from last season, Cochran on Survivor).

For the people that are following the feeds, have any of the HG's speculated that the Coaches will eventually join the game? If I was in the house, that's what I would assume.

Just don't let Willie shave, and give him a big brother buff/bandana or something, and he can declare himself Russell lol.


Did they not have family pics this year, cause when Willie went to his HOH room, doesn't seem like he had any pics. Maybe done intentionally since most pics he'd have might be of him,russell and their other brother(that people will also know since he was on survivor for that 1 episode)

The points/questions you bring up are why I need to follow the live feeds. By just watching the CBS show, you miss out on a lot of stuff. The problem with BB is that if you really want to stay in the loop, it takes up a lot of time.

I'm also wondering if Willie got any family pictures.

With only 10 players left after Thursday, the Coaches have to be playing the game. We are already almost at the point of the season where the remaining players are on the jury. There's no way a wealthy person like Boogie is going to give up his Summer just at a chance to win 100K and whatever CBS paid him to come back. All 4 of the Coaches have a huge advantage if enter the game. Besides getting extra information from the HG's, they also basically have immunity since they can't get nominated/evicted right now.

I wish I got to play BB. Based on the numbers, I would have figured out by the first day that the Coaches would enter the game. I would have been very careful with my words, even to my own Coach. I like all 4 of the Coaches, but if they enter the game, I will probably root against them.

There's enough weeks in the house where 1 person goes each week, and a double eviction happens 1 week as well.

I'm guessing it'll be like last year, where people will be gone and fans vote on who they want to come back. Since Jodi was told she WASN'T come back, I'm guessing 11th,10th and 9th(meaning 2nd,3rd,4th evicted) will be who fans vote on as to who returns to the game. The other 2 end up going home and then whoever gets voted off from that point on,will be in jury.
