About 7 episodes into season 2.

I think this season is a complete disappointment. Nothing overly interesting and Piper is just annoying as hell. The only thing that has been nice to see are the backgrounds of the characters. Seems like **** is just happening just to happen.

I actually liked the plot OUTSIDE of Piper. I like everything outside of her. Which if she's the primary then I feel like she took a back seat this entire season. I do agree that she has been more of an annoyance this season and they need to really stop with the "tough" girl attitude with her LOL. I laugh.

Finished Season 2 on Tuesday. I enjoyed it and laughed quite a bit and thought the dramatic elements fit in nicely. I like the overall theme they worked with. I think Season 1 is more enjoyable from a comedic standpoint. This one actually showcased a lot of talent and will land people some other roles. I want to see more of Alex(preferably naked LOL) actually and a lot LESS of Piper. Season 1 Piper I could buy. Season 2 Piper was not very convincing to me.

I think they hit on quite a few issues for women in society and in prison in season 2, that's why it took a more serious tone. There were still a lot of moments where I laughed hard though so they were able to alleviate the seriousness. Still think season 1 was better. I like how I got the vibe about what would happen for Larry even in season 1. I don't know why I saw that happening but did. Anyways, Season 3 will be interesting since Piper took a back seat in season 2 had the "big dawgs" squaring off and in the end the differences between them is very clear.

If the woman that plays Crazy Eyes doesn't get any awards for her role, I hope someone pulls a Kanye West on whoever does win an award on that show. She is absolutely amazing playing that character.

Yeah, she is excellent. Unfortunately she was passed over for a Best Supporting Actress Emmy nomination by the actress who plays Red. That was expected, though.

She was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy series.

As Areobee mentioned Kate Mulgrew (Red) is up for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy series and Taylor Schilling (Piper) is up for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Not sure. I thought the cutoff was earlier but Fargo and True Detective received noms too.

EDIT: Nah, I looked at it from the other end. The cutoff date is May 31st (a show must air at least 6 episodes) so it's the first season that the Emmys are considering. (i think)
