Everyone - I am hoping to get a question answered that I have about the PS4 silver headset. I recently bought a gold headset because I heard nothing but good things about it and it also had the independent voice and game volume controls that I am looking for. However, I'm not a fan of the headset at all. It picks up too many sounds around me (can't listen to music on my laptop while playing games or the people I'm playing with will hear it) so I'd prefer a boom mic on the headset that doesn't pick up as much, and also the wireless signal is interfering with the PS4's ability to connect to my wifi.
However, something I haven't been able to get answered is whether or not the wired silver headset has independent voice and game volume controls. Does it have the ability for me, on either the headset or on an in-line control, either turn up/down the game volume only or turn up/down the chat volume only? So if I'm playing a shooter I can have the game volume high and chat volume low, or have game volume low and chat volume high? I hate having to go in to the PS4 audio settings and adjust those things for different games all the time, and I like being able to just turn a knob on a control to turn down the chat volume if someone is being an idiot, haha.
