XBox 360: VGA Cable or Component Switch
My Mitsubishi HDTV only has one 1080i input but it does have a VGA input. Because I can't have HD cable television and my 360 going into the same input at the same time I have two options. I can either get a component cable switch ($19.99 at Wal-Mart/Radio Shack) or I can buy the VGA cable for the XBox 360 ($40).
Two questions:
1. How much resolution (if any) will I lose going from the HD inputs provided with the XBox 360 to the VGA input.
2. Will the above resolution loss (if any) be more or less than what I could expect to lose if I used a component cable switch.
I'm sure I could research this if I had about an hour to spare but I'm at work and don't have too much free time (just enough to post here
