Who of you are courageous enough to brave the weather, darkness, and bloodthirsty gamers and parents in order to secure a Nintendo Wii or PS3 on launch day?

Re: The Official Wii & PS3 Launch Discussion
I'll be working, with too many meetings to take the day off... so I'm out, and kinda bummed since I've stayed away from the 360 in anticipation of the PS3.
Seeing as how I can't do anything crazy on the 17th, is anyone out there planning for the second and third shipments, and if so, I'm wondering how to get one before Christmas?Comment

I'll walk into my local EB on 11/17 @ 10am and walk out with a Premium PS3. I will never ever wait in line or camp out again for a launch system.Who of you are courageous enough to brave the weather, darkness, and bloodthirsty gamers and parents in order to secure a Nintendo Wii or PS3 on launch day?

Re: The Official Wii & PS3 Launch Discussion
I'll be waiting at Wal-Mart next Saturday after seeing James Bond in Casino Royale. I figure I'll get to Wal-Mart between 6PM and 8PM and that should be plenty of time for the Wii.
For the PS3 launch, I'll be refreshing a handful of sites hoping to get an order (or two) in.

I camped out for 12 hours last year for the 360. Not this year, I'm waking up at 6:30 am Sunday 11/19 and heading out the door about 7:30 am to head to Best Buy for the Wii. Since I know how many stores are getting allocated, if I see a crazy line, I head to the next store. No more camping for me.Comment

Re: The Official Wii & PS3 Launch Discussion
I have a friend at Best Buy, we looked up the numbers for my area in his computer. Each store was getting a different amount of Wii's so you know it wasn't evenly allocated BS numbers that we have heard for some stores. When I go there this week, I'm going to have him look them up again for confirmation.Comment

I'll go up at 8AM Sunday morning, walk in and get my Wii at Gamestop. I waited all of 5 minutes for my 360 last year for Gamestop as well. Still have never camped out for my system, but have camped with buddies for theirs.Comment

Guide to Camping Out
Some 24-hour big-box stores like Wal-Mart allow gamers to line up indoors, rendering warm clothing irrelevant. We recommend wearing a mask instead to avoid the shame and ignominy of being seen camping inside a Wal-Mart.]Boston Red Sox 2004, 2007 World Series Champions
