Xbox 360 (core) on Amazon for $100 tomorrow

Oh great, now I've drawn attention to the deal.....

Seriously, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to buy one or not. I have an inside source that says there will be a Black Friday special at a major electronics store (not going to mention which one because, as of now, it's only a rumor) with Xbox 360 Pro on sale for $299.99. As far as I know, Amazon doesn't offer any sort of additional warranty or replacement plan, whereas most stores do. And in my opinion, it is essential if buying a 360. I'd really rather not be out of $100 because I chose to go with a "deal" on a website, especially when I'd end up spending 300 bucks if I wanted another system- plus whatever warranty or plan.

What would you do?

You can always get the warranty directly from MS. I'd take a core for $100 in a second.

You could just get the MS warranty which is solid. Micro Center is sellin premiums for 299 after a mail in rebate, thats my fallback if i don't get the amazon deal..

What is the MS warranty, a year, two years? Does it include overheating and other problems, and how long would it take to send the system and get it back? That would suck to be unable to play because microsoft had my 360 for two months. That's why I'm leaning towards the Black Friday thing. This retailer (and I assume others) gives you a brand new system if the current one breaks. Obviously for a price, but it's a small price for peace of mind.

Who cares about a warranty? Each one of these cores could EASILY go for $200 on Ebay lmao... Screw a warranty.

The MS warranty covers everything. You can get either 1 year or 2. I think 1 year is 40 bucks. I think it takes 10-14 days to get your 360 back if you have to send it to MS, but fortunately I haven't had to use my warranty yet.
