    Price Match?

Who price matches ads for games? I know Best Buy does. What about Ebgames and Circuit City?

EBGames used to, from my experience now, it's up to the manager.

Circuit City actually price matches @ 110%. So you get an additional 10% off whatever they're price matching for you.

I know Circuit City price matches. I am pretty sure EB games does not.

Other stores I know that price match are Sears, CompUSA and WalMart (never tried there though). I know Target does not.

Thanks, I'll head to circuit city later today to see if they have R6V. Its only 39.99 at Game Crazy, but of course they don't have it.

FYI, Circuit City is trying to change their policy that you have to buy it from them to get the 110% and not just price matching. Of course this can easily be defeated by buying it and then immediately going to the Customer Service counter and going through the process to get 110%.

I always go to Best Buy because of the reward zone.

Do you have a sales ad with the price? If not, you can find it on Game Crazy's website and print it out. Not sure if that method will work, but it'd be worth a shot.

Some stores here will only price match with stores similiar to them. ie WallyWorld, Target, BB and CC. EB will match GameCrazy.

                Re: Price Match?

EB Games and Gamestop Managers have been told to pretty much NOT price match Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, and Walmart since they really can't truely compete with the prices some of those games are.

For instance this week Target having Zelda and Gears of War for 40 bucks. They've been told "no" on price matching those. If it's with in 5 bucks, that's a different story, but nothing over that.

I'm going to Circuit City with the Game Crazy ad, hopefully that works. I went to Best Buy yesterday, but they were out. I will try EB as a last resort. Sale ends tomorrow.

Most times they have to call the store and make sure they have it in stock. Usually though they don't waste their time calling.

Same here, even if they did water down the rewards a lot, it is still free money. They are also the best non-videogame specialty store(ie. EB, Gamestop, etc) as far as getting games in close to the release date. They almost always have games in the day after the ship date while some places like CC, Target, TRU won't have it for another 3-5 days.

Well, Circuit City didn't have it, and EB wouldn't match the price. damn
