Advice on PC games to get

I just got a new PC after like 5 years, so I can once again play PC games....I still like my PS2 for sports games and whatnot, but I was wondering if there were any other games on the PC you guys (and gals) could recommend?

What type of games do you like?

Sports I would defaintely get TW 2003.

i was in the same position as you, (recently got a new PC). The first game i got was Battlefield 1942. If you like FPS games, and war games and an amazing online battle, you will love it.

I just got back into the PC market too. I've got BF 1942, America's Army (free), SimCity 4, Age of Mythology, and will be getting Nacar Racing Season 2003, Tron 2.0, and Ultimate Baseball Online.

You know, I brought the Raimbow Six Platinum pack with Counter Strike and have yet to play it. I liked Raimbow Six, fun game. I'm still on like the 3rd to the last mission. I wanted to beat that first before I move on. That was almost 2 years ago.

Well, I post here, so I like sports games...However, I've found that I like those more on my PS2, especially for playing with friends. I think for right now I'm looking towards a FPS type game, probably NOLF2, since BD pointed out it's pretty cheap right now.

Other than Counterstrike, which I liked but would rather get something different, what's a good online game? NOLF2 doesn't have much online stuff...I've heard Battlefield 1942 is pretty good, and I bet Unreal Tournament isn't bad...Thanks for the info
