You take a hit. It costs 350 to learn shock, for example, but it gives back 225 or something similar.

To learn magic, you have to cast magic.

Either that or burn a TON of "general" xp to learn anything.

So in the end, it's still because you're either using magic or learning spells that you never use anyway, just because you can afford it.

MGO, it would have been nice to know that last night when we were both sitting there chopping wood for half an hour
I know! That would have been cool to chat and cut wood. I've maxed out my woodcutting, and I much prefer that over blacksmithing. Later after that I was on the phone with a friend and just cutting wood while I talked to her, I've got the timing down where I can get to 40ish streak and eventually make a mistake. Not the fastest way to make money, but I'm slowly starting to buy a lot of property. I'm working my way up to a inn or something more expensive (30k-50k) rather than the more cheap places. It'll be interesting when I log on to see if any money has accumulated.

Yeah, it's not horrible...I'll probably just keep adding some other will ones and see what I like. Having the 1st level of all wouldn't be bad, it's just the upper levels I'm looking to limit. I'll probably sell Blades level 2 cause I won't be using it much.

Ok as of now I own all the Bowerstone Market Squar (Bookshop, blacksmith, etc..) and some other Odds and ends, have 5 wifes, 3 in one city and 2 in the other. Actually two are neighbors...lmao. :P 2 kids, Boy and Girl. Tell me how I did a quest and when I finished it and came out of a cave in town my wife with some other town folk were outside cheering but then a bunch of Hobs appeared and before I killed them they killed my wife. -_- Then the game poped up and said that child protection services have came and took the child. Lol. They think that a widowed father cant take care of its child. Hell I was providing everything anyway.

The stalls/shops you buy - do you generate profit every 5 minutes IN GAME or does that still work even while you're not playing?

I think my next play through I'll be an evil wizard or witch.

Is there anyway to mark things on the map/region? I've been to 3 or 4 Demon Doors and I would like to return once I have what it takes to open then, but I don't see them marked on the map at all.

From what I heard you earn profit not playing also, however it is slower than actually playing the game.

Still cool. I need to pay off my debt in the Pub Games somehow. Everytime I play I have to pay a fine after I quit.

I really like the combat. It's set up so all 3 parts of it are useful without being overly complicated to switch between them. See something far away,I shoot it untill it's at medium range then use magic to shock it wich makes them stop and shoot them more, then when they're close get out the sword and finish them off. The flourishes are pretty sweet looking. Also like that I'm not having to worry about MP.

Finally found a good outfit,it's nice the stores get more later,I didn't really think they would. Just need to color it. Don't think there's any new hair but I've read there's another shop in the other big city.

I found the wood chopping was easiest way to make money. I had a 60 something streak then I got to the next level and quit so there's only one level of that left to do. It's faster than the blacksmith stuff.

                      Re: Fable 2

I agree on combat. It's simplistically brilliant.

I have the zoomed and aimed ranged shots unlocked, as well as flourishes with a melee weapon, so I can perform 1-shot head shots with a rifle and then slice them in half when they get close. They managed to make the combat very deep with a few buttons and a lock-on method. The "hold vs. tap" mechanic is incredible in its simple execution, and things like feeling the controller rumble when it's time to unload are things I personally haven't experienced in other games before. I'm sure games have done it and it's not the "first", but it's the first I've played. It gives me queues other than what I see on how to pull things off, which is very engaging.

Overall impression: Game is fun and addicting. Graphics and sound and level layouts are great. Story is interesting and voice acting is superb.

                          Cons:
                          1. Storyline seems short
                          2. Wish had cooler and more weapons
                          3. Wish there were more side quests
                          4. Wish there was a better map that showed up on the screen
