    Re: Fable 2

Has anyone run into an issue with the furniture store not re-stocking its items? I've experienced this. I read a post on another forum where a poster mentioned having the same issue and someone from Lionhead responded to him saying it was a "data error" with having too prosperous of an economy. I also read a post on still another forum that mentioned jacking up the prices to 100%, which would tick people off, but they'd buy less and the store would re-stock? I wonder if that would work. Just curious if anyone else has had the same problem and what they did to get around it.

By the way, my hero chick is ultra-angelic in the game (has a halo over her head) and everyone loves her...but I'm getting sick of everyone wanting to marry me, both guys and girls, well at least the bi and lesbian ones. I don't like how everybody can just come into your house all day long when you can't go into theirs or else you'll get arrested for tresspassing. They all get in the way. I think I need to just scare everyone more. I'm looking forward to being an evil brute the second time around.

I experienced it...Yeah just buy the buildings and jack the rent up. When the Bowerstone Market is back to a 4 star economy the store is stocked again.

If the job is available on your job menu screen, activate it as your main quest and travel to it.

So, I did the Tattered Spire stuff last night. Holy crap.

And I agree with Slim Kibbles. If I want some alone time with my wife, I don't want have the town following me into my house and clogging up my area. It gets a little annoying.

I started messing around with dyes on my clothes, too. Pretty nice touch.

Where can you buy augments for your weapons? The loading tips said something about gypsy stone cutters being the only ones, but every time I go to the gypsy camp, they're all partying and nobody is manning their shop.

My Male hero has the same problem with everyone wanting to marry him. What you need to do is not wear clothing with attractiveness +% on it. I mostly wear the Noble Gents clothes and I'm constantly followed by an entourage of people with hearts above their heads.

this might seem silly, but any feedback is appreciated.

what is fable II all about? watching the video review on IGN...it kind of reminded me of zelda orcina of time i think it was...where you start out as a kid and over time you grow to an adult. what all is involved in this game? is the world as big as say oblivion? how much play time are we looking at?

There's a stone cutter selling out of a little trailer in Bowerstone. If you're looking directly at the clock tower after coming off the bridge, take the path that is on the left and go all the way back. He's back there, when shops are open.

Not silly at all. I haven't played that Zelda game so I can't compare. But, Fable II is awesome. You do start out as a kid doing some tasks and then get older. The main quest only takes 10 hours by itself, apparently, which some online (not here) have complained about. I have no idea why you would just go through and do just the main quest when there is so much more to the game. You can buy property, fall in love with townsfolk, go exploring, do side-quests. Your character, based on your actions, can be good, evil, or somewhere in between. The amount of depth to it all is crazy. I haven't played Oblivion so not sure how big the Fable II world is compared to it but it is pretty free-roaming for the most part. I'm sure others will post a better review of it for you but I just wanted to tell you that the game is worth the price, in my opinion. It's become one of my all-time favorites.

Alot of people say it's alot like Zelda, just more of a RPG.

You do start out as a young boy, but you're only young for maybe an hour. Then you start out as a teenager I'd guess. The world isn't quite as big as Oblivion, but you explore quite a bit. Find treasure chests, keys, or your dog can sniff out dig spots for you.

I've probbaly logged about 16-20 hours in the game, and if I had to guess I'd say I'm maybe 25%-35% through the main story with a few side quests done as well. Theres just a heck of alot more to do than the main story. You can make a family, be a male whore, buy businesses, houses, vendor stands to control.

If you're interested, and don't want to spend the $60. Go to your local Blockbuster and give it a rent. It's really one of the best games I've played this year.

I second that Holic. This game is very good, I think I have spent the last 2 hours alone in my town making a baby, buying furniture, pissing off my wife because I flirt with another woman since I thought she left. It was funny, I couldn't find her for about a day or two. She was traveling the town, while the baby was at home by itself.

I found the stone cutter and bought the ghoul augment and the gold augment. I just need to pick up a master cutlass with augment slots and I'll be set.
