    Xbox Dobly Digital question

I bought a new stereo a few months ago and it features Dolby Digital sound and a decoder for DVD's and a few digitial cable channels via the Coaxial cable and the Digital Optical cable.

My ps2 has a digital optical output so I can hook up my ps2 to my stereo through that cable. Everything decodes perfectly fine.

Now, XBOX is known for their use of great sound. I can't seem to find what I'm looking for to connect my xbox digitially to my stereo.

I can use my VCR, and the red-white-yellow AV cable, but that's not digitial. I'd like to take advantage of my Dobly Digital stereo and get things rockin'.

    All help is appreciated.

use the optical for your Xbox, you have to get an advanced AV pack 1st.

Article about xbox digital sound capabilities

It elaborates on what bryan_05 said

            Thanks guys.

That AV pack is what I need. i hadn't found anything like that around my neighborhood so maybe I'll find it online at a cheap cost.

Actually guys. That adapter won't work with my TV and xbox.

That AV pack requires a S-video output. I have to use the WHITE-RED-YELLOW AV cables to hook up to my VCR. IF i use the new adapter I can't see the game, I can only hear it.

                        Any other ideas?

I know it can't be that hard. The PS2 has it set up so damn easy.

                        WHy is this so hard.

haha, it doesn't 'require' S-video it just has that capability.

I have a yellow wire running from TV to AV pack and optical from AV pack to receiver.
